If improving customer support was this important to them they would have fixed the emails months ago.
Also they could have gotten rid of the subforum but maintained a support thread in the general internet forums like most of the other poker sites do. So now PokerHost has a thread but Carbon doesn't? It doesn't make sense to me that they would leave 2+2 altogether.
Speaking purely in the realm of speculation, I can't help but think that Carbon is leaving the Merge Network. It might not be such a bad thing if they were to join WPN. That would be one great poker site.
Carbon might not see it as worth it. Bovada doesn't have a rep (Bodog does, but not the same), and other sites don't as well. The cost of hiring cheap labor to answer questions again and again or have community member/Poker Host answer them might be better form a business sense.
CarbonChris seems like he was already doing a lot of other stuff, as well as CarbonRyan, so now they can focus solely on what other responsibilities they were supposed to have. People like Kahn are still here to answer anything we need them too, and that might be good enough for sure. I think suggesting they are moving to a new network is pretty out there, you might be right, but I think it's hard to make that connection yet.
