Players Only seems to be getting the bugs fixed quicker than Carbon. The remaining issue there is with the waiting list. Instead of being asked if you wished to be seated at a table you are automatically seated. This is intentional. There are two problems with this. First you are automatically removed from all waiting lists once seated. There is no option to remain on waiting lists for other tables. Second, the software no longer filters by table type; you will be seated at a fast table even if you did not request a waiting list on one.

I honestly hope so, but still don't see it happening. Until they get half way decent software (tournament stacks are 1,000.19 FFS) and do something with the MTT schedule they won't get much bigger from Host coming.

Pokerhost is notoriously populated with winning regs. Winning regs all have accounts on other Merge skins and will just play there, WPN, and Bovada like they are doing now. No one playing poker for a living will bother wasting time playing on EPN because there is very little money to be made.

Obviously you need regs to build a site, but you have to have fish first. There is plenty of fish on EPN, but Host isn't going to add much to that.

FWIW, I doubt Host moving to EPN, and Merge losing Host, means either will supplant WPN. In the weeks/months after WPN's OSS concludes and Beast rake elimination takes hold, I'd bet they are going to be pretty tough to beat in terms of US-facing, non-Bovada poker rooms/networks.

As far as the other "stuff" ITT, I have better things to do with my time.

any chance they add PLO and MTTs to mobile app?

^^^ Agree with you about WPN Nutz and glad you have better things to do now

I was talking with a friend and made the random guess of 600 average cash players by July. I really think a 200 player increase is completely feasible with the removal of the Beast drop.

And as far as Merge losing Host/ EPN gaining them, it will be miniscule, if even noticeable on the Merge side.

Despite that the small red fonted, unable to sort sitngo lobby drives me up the wall, I think that WPN is doing a really good job of listening to players. I think that ever since BlackFriday, poker players have been looking for a hero to step up and provide us with a real poker site; WPN may very well become that hero.

Idk about all, but A LOT! Even just a Cali only site would be bigger than everything but Bovada and maybe even Bovada in a very short time.

Unfortunately, that spells the end for offshore sites though. As much as I dislike losing players, Merge is very smart to keep leaving questionable/regulated jurisdictions. It makes me very nervous sites I play on are still offering games to NJ/NV when those states are going to WANT to set an example for offshore sites.

Yea it makes no sense for offshore sites to keep using .com addresses which can be blocked.. and now these legal sites eventually will get aggressive @ going after offshore sites

What part of my post responding to you is so hard to understand?

I was an affiliate for Host, RPM, BCP, and Aced/Carbon. I now don't actively refer players to seek profit as I don't have time and personally feel it's a dying niche w/ regulation coming. (Could and very well may be wrong about the affiliate business dying)

I still talk to people with(meaning they work there) Carbon/Aced (as well as other skins/networks) frequently as I have many players still under my umbrella that I assist.

I try to pass on any info I may have here if no one else has already done so as I feel it is an easy, and good thing(karma, etc) to do.

I don't come here to solicit myself, my website, or anything to do with me.(as some posters)

I am just a player and I participate in the discussion because I spend 40+ hours a week on Merge. I will bash them as fast as I will praise them. Unless responding to pointless posts like this (or randomly getting called a troll by a shill who has me on ignore) everything I post is in line with the discussion (the point of this thread) going on and I respond to many questions asked for the sake of returning the favor that 2+2 has offered me.

I don't understand what you're missing?

Almost all of the offshore sites don't use .com (Host does still obv) for that very reason. Using .lv or .ag doesn't mean you aren't violating laws though. Sites still serving NJ and NV are now doing just that, breaking the law, the gray area is gone now. I can't imagine every state passing regulation from here out not having something in the legislation about offshore sites.

Wow, no more colored playerboxes? And yet the black player box is still there, leaving me to click click click trying to change it.

Double wow, no more player icons?

What next, no HUDs?

The problem with California passing a poker bill is that many of the tribes want to permanently segregate the California players from the rest of the world. I think that it would be unfortunate if we could never play against anyone from outside of California again. And even though California has a big enough population to sustain a fairly healthy poker community, California isn't going to allow very many sites to go online creating very little competition, so consequently little incentive to cater to the players.

The proposed fees and taxes are so high that the online sites might not be able to offer reasonable rakes. We would have to see how that goes, but I'm not very optimistic.

At least one of the bills would automatically opt-out California if a federal poker bill is ever passed. That would forever keep a national network out of our reach. This is troubling to me because I think that only a federal bill will give California players the type of online environment that would best serve the players.

I have to explain to you why I post here? Please take your paranoia somewhere else.

I post here because I play on Carbon; it's that simple. I had over 400 posts in the Carbon subforums, most of the posts strongly supported the network and supported CarbonRyan. That I've been criticizing Merge over the last several months has nothing to do with me having an agenda against Merge. I support Merge when they act fair and responsible and I criticize them then they don't. Unfortunately since the new management took over they have screwed over many of the skins, they screwed over CarbonRyan and they have been screwing us over.

To play on aced I just type "m.aced.ag" into my phones web browser. I'm not sure for carbon but I bet m.carbon.ag is a good start haha. Also you can bookmark the link and put an icon on your phones background to make it easier and feels just like an app basically.

I hope that they're working on this now, would be nice to have some kind've multi tabling capability also. They just unveiled the ability to play sngs a couple weeks ago so it seems this is all a work-in-progress.
