I had no idea of these rake changes - not happy - This is a massive increase to smuggle in under the radar.

However my computer automatically reinstalled the windows update referred to before and I can still start the software so this looks to have been fixed.

Wow did not know that also. Given player pool is mostly nit infested regs, it would be ridiculous to even play there.

Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but it seems that after new year they made sneaky changes and the rake on Nl100/Plo100+ is now capped on 4 eur instead of 3 eur. On top of that they take 1c from every 20c not 5c from every 1 eur as it was previously. It means a huge rake increase and they didn't bother to inform anyone about it.

Nevermind didn't know that the rake changes are dicscussed already but still it deserves its own thread because it is huge and the way they introduce it is a shame. I mean they own pokerstrategy why won't they post about the changes there??

Well, I've made a thread about it there (in General Poker Discussion), but of course they hate delivering negative news themselves.

Anyone else exprerienced anything similar to this?

I just experienced an issue with HU tables at Ipoker. I was registered at €50 and €100 sit and goes. Then one of them (€50) started and i played it. After i finished i noticed i was no longer registered at €100 SNG. After i looked at playing history it showed that both sngs started at the same time but only one of them showed up. So i lost €100 sng without even playing a single hand (because the table did not show up, while €50 sng did show up).

I dont play them, but I believe Coral has twister races sometimes. GL!

Coral + Gala (combined) Twister races are now permanent (to be exact, 'will run until further notice').

They offer more value to low volume players, though. There's a fierce battle at the top, but it's very easy to get the bottom prize of 3x€5 Twister tokens (that usually requires raking just €30-50).

so basically after the rake changes you might as well just play on stars.
Why does every poker site insist on killing their player pool in the long term for a small increase in short term profits.

Thanks - Just heard Coral/Gala will be offering a €3500 Twister Race from Monday so will give it a go!

Twister seems to be way forward with lack of SNG's Cheers guys.

That's good a news for Twister grinders!

Considering that non-jackpot/Twister SnGs would be nearly dead anyway (and so they were even before the introduction of SBR), the 'network effect' matters only for MTTs - it doesn't matter to a rec whether there are 4 or 10 low stake cash tables running - s/he clicks the 'Seat Me' button and, sure enough, the table gets filled fast even if there was no open seat at a 4-5-man table. Table selection is a concern only for winning regs, who're not wanted that much on the network any longer (and neither are high stake games where recs lose money too fast and their deposits are converted into rake poorly). Meanwhile, MTT regs have got source-based deals and are enjoying life like before because, for MTTs, SBR equals the true rake.

I am confused. Fish are unlikely to move away from cash games to play twister where their loss rate is smaller. I doubt they are capable of such rational decision. However, I can see some serious grinders make such an analysis and move to twister where they will reduce your edge. Am I completely off?

Well, I thought a fish is more likely to fall in love with Twister than a reg because the former likes variance more. The bottom-heavy payout structure of the race is helpful in this regard.

Agree entirely, iPoker skins are pushing twisters more and more to recs, selling the dream of €10 for €10k – many of the smaller missions currently run by the network win free twister tokens – there is more value than some may think.

Hi, just got a new computer and am setting up my ipoker skins. Windows 10 sucks balls.

So the first problems with windows 10 and ipoker is the log in screen is blank so there's nowhere to input your log in details. After contacting support they got me to add in their website name in to "compatibility view" in internet explorer, and low and behold I could log in. One problem fixed.

However the Twister wheel is still a blank white screen so I don't get to see the wheel move from a 10,000x to a 2x at the very last second any more. Anyone got this part fixed?

The next problem still persisting is the "Missions" button in both the lobby and on the table. When I click it now it just says "Loading..." and stays like that.

Finally those poker alerts that pop up and you have to click "OK" on now have no text in them.

There must be some other setting I need to tinker with to get this right, but online chat didn't know. Their knowledge was limited to the compatibility view setting.

I have updated flash and installed Java to no avail. What's a fish to do?

Which Flash Player plugin did you update? There are separate versions of it, and you need to upgrade the one for Internet Explorer (not your default browser), upon clicking the link on the FP update page saying smth like 'Do you have a different OS or browser?' (idk the exact English phrase because Adobe redirects me to a Russian page, blame geotargeting).

Can anyone clarify the bolded part?
Is this an issue if you play 400nl+?

According to this it does concern all limits from .10/.20 up to 5/10 in all no limit and pot-limit games.

No, its not an issue. Just rounding up rake to the nearest penny which going to make nearly no difference at 400nl+, apart from the rake cap from $3 to $4.

I have tried but every time it says it is integrated in internet explorer in windows 10 and will not allow me to download any flash update for internet explorer 10.

I was going to try downloading internet explorer 8 or something and then get a flash update for that, but they said that earlier versions of internet explorer will not work with windows 10.

Am I missing something?

I guess the old client is slowly dying. But I hate the new client so much. Time to switch poker sites.

Ah OK, then apparently Adobe hasn't rolled out the promised re-update of Flash Player for Win 8-10 and the old client still remains broken by the FP update that was auto-installed on IE 10 at the end of December.

Can you roll FP back to a pre-Christmas version?
