And in the other states online-gambling is prohibited. The law is clear. That's the reason why paddy and coral dont't accept german players.

It is not clearly prohibited, no. There are no licenses for online gambling in any other states. And the (tax) law wrt online poker is not clear at all, it's a very grey area.

Not really, no. Nor has it ever been prosecuted either. They even "rightfully" tax you if it's in their best interest aka money to be made. But many are afraid of the huge grey area and the outcome of the Eddy Scharf saga. It highlighted one of the biggest problems that we and many other countries face these days: The legislation has no clue about poker. And they call up experts that have no experience in it either, making hilarious conclusions and unrealistic tax and online gambling laws.

By the way, Everest also pulled out of the German market very recently as well. Jumping on the bandwagon, Austria here we come.

hey ive just downloaded the new Ipoker client and i think they have done a good job with it. There is however a pretty big problem as there doesn't seem to be a waiting list function on the tables.

can someone please tell me why the button is missing or if the button is somehow hidden?

It isn't hidden - it's missing, it's far on the development queue. If you'd like to play non-Speed cash games, then either start tables, hop onto open seats or play on the old client.

Is that the new client they have been working on for the past three years that was also supposed to be fully compatible with a Mac?

Since I updated to Windows 10, I have to run iPoker as administrator or it doesn't save my hh to disk. The confusing part about this is that my default user is set to have administrator privileges yet I still have to choose to run as administrator or it doesn't work. Any ideas?

Also as an aside, when I realised I had some missing hand histories I got onto live chat because I couldn't work out how to get the hand histories sent from the client. They said the only way of me getting the hh was to pay them £10 as an administrative fee. I told them lol **** off, and later found out through the PT4 thread that it's possible to just get the hh through the client, for free, and automatically. Was support winding me up?

No, it was offering you to pay a small fee to delegate the tedious work of retrieving HH files - that you can only do manually one by one - to the support, who, presumably, can compile those files automatically. Whether to take the offer depends on how many HH files you're missing (i.e. how much of your time the delegation would save) and how big your normal hourly winrate or salary is.

It might also help to include where you are from, because quite a few iPoker skins are restricting certain nationalities from signing up.

Does anybody know whether you can use I poker from Australia? If so all the skins? What would be the best skin to download and deposit?
Thanks

As far as I know, Winner Poker is the only major iPoker operator that provides Australians with access to poker games. Some of its network partners (like William Hill, Ladbrokes) are present in Australia but offer only sports betting there.

Yeah there is a few. I am from Australia and the best rb deal we can get is expekt poker for a more direct method (60%) or if you go thru affiliate and looking for long term rb I.e. Yearly chasess then we have netbet also. Winner poker is probably the worst if you're a winning play, only 60% SBR which is 30% old WC method.

Is a 35% rakeback (old system) a good rakeback nowadays on iPoker?

It's the most that you can have as a winning player if we talk about the flat component of the RB. But don't exclude rake races from the calculation. Betfair offers are actually quite decent in this respect too, though they used to be better when a lot of countries used to be excluded.

ipoker is down right now?

I received an email today telling me betfair is no longer available for Canadians after January 14. Is this going to be for all ipoker rooms or just betfair? This just threw a huge wrench into my 2016 plans of leaving pokerstars.

Betfair not giving any reason as to why they are leaving Canada.. Strange move curious if it will spread to other iPoker networks. Really big shame as they have some good promos for 2016 coming. Anyone have any info on this move?

I've seen the news that betfair and paddypower have had approval from one regulator that their merge can go ahead and are waiting for news from the Irish regilator to see if they agree.

So, does Paddypower allow poker in Canada? If not, then it is logical to assume they are simply getting ready for their merge by operating in the same countries only. But, if Paddypower is in Canada then I don't have a danny what's going on. Unless they would run on Paddy's gaming license and wouldn't want the double expense of running two poker companies.

In summary, haven't a clue, but my speculation machine works fine.
