I play PLO on ipoker 6m 2/4 - 10/20 exclusively, my friend who plays NL almost exclusively on ipoker as well linked me to this article and it worries me greatly.

Point 1. The currency thing I don't think matters too much, people are saying that it's a rake grab which it very likely is but realistically I don't it will either encourage nor discourage players.
Point 2. "Clear Simple Accessible games offering" I e-mailed Ipoker before asking them to at least CONSIDER implementing 'Stars "King of the Hill" system for the 6m games. It's been successful on stars and ipoker has a real problem with this right now IMO. That is the change that they should make before anything else.
I'm delighted to see the back of turbo tables though!
Point 3. LOL that "staying up to speed with market trends" = implementing a timebank 10years after everyone else.
Point 4. is the main point that worries me
4. Protecting players' funds
iPoker's efforts to optimise their games selection does not end with the above actions of condensing and reducing variants. They are also looking at their games selection with a clear aim to protect less skilled players that tend to lose their money, having analysed the loss per player for every stake. With this analysis iPoker have identified specific stakes which they will remove.
What do you interpret this to mean? Are they considering segregating player pools like party? Or does this just mean they are removing high stakes games?
If they have researched that weaker player lose more bb/100 at 3/6 than 2/4, so they are going to remove 3/6 then I people who were losing at 3/6 will now lose at 2/4 or 5/10 so that can't be it. If they are saying that bad players lose more at 50/100 than at 2/4 then whoever uncovered that hidden gem of consumer research needs a medal lol. Seems that they want people to just lose $10k in 11,000 hands of 2/4 and not 111 hands of 25/50 which seems like VERY short sighted logic.
Whatever the true intention of point 4 is I'm fairly confident that it is not designed for the benefit of the players.
Does anyone from iPoker post/read 2+2 who would be able to comment? iPoker has a reputation for being pretty ignorant to players requests and most people who have a lot of experience with them will prolly struggle to give examples to defend them.
It would be very encouraging to get some comments on this, none of the changes here seem to me like they will offer ANY real additional benefit to the professional or recreational players.
Currently very disappointed.
