Once again we have to apologize for the network issues. Unfortunately it's beyond our power to fix these problems ourselves. Our management will have a meeting with the network's persons in charge this week.
The unstable server performance, the software and the mac client will be central issues of course. I will keep you updated on the outcome of this meeting.
Switching the network is a drastic step that has to be well considered and well prepared and there's no wide choice of networks out there. At the moment we are not planning anything in this direction.
Cancelled Tournaments :
This is the network policy concerning cancelled tourneys:
50/50 Tournament Policy
"If a tournament is canceled before the money, we will try to compensate all remaining players based on their play up to the time of the cancellation. This is best achieved by awarding 50% of the prize pool to all remaining players and the other 50% of the prize pool will be awarded proportionately based on each player's chip count. All remaining players will also receive a refund of their entry fee. Any player who was eliminated prior to the cancellation will not be entitled to a refund. All awards for a tournament canceled in progress will be cash. If the canceled tournament has a guaranteed prize pool, only the entry fee will be returned (not the guaranteed prize)."
I understand that all of this is far from satisfactory and I comprehend that it is extremely annoying to encounter these network connectivity issues while playing tourneys.
We will give our best to urge the network to work on the currently most important hardware and software fixes.
