What is the best way to get in contact with support? I have tried email, but they have stopped responding. I have heard that David Lyons, the GP general manager, is often active here on TwoPlusTwo, but so far I have been unable to contact him.

I was banned from Global Poker for using a VPN. I am located in the USA, and I have never used the VPN to play from another region. I use a VPN for all my network traffic, unless otherwise no allowed, to ensure more security in my online life. I was immediately banned with no warning and told it was because I was using the VPN to play from other regions than the US. I have banks statements, my listed address is in the USA where I have been the entire time I have played on Global Poker.

It seemed very harsh to ban me immediately (along with taking 3,000 Sweeps) with no warning when I wasn't gaining any unfair advantage or breaking any rules by using a VPN to play while still being physically located in the USA. I am a professional player for 6 years now across various platforms. I have referred multiple players to Global Poker over the years, including a few high stakes MTT regulars. I have played on the Global Poker site on and off for many years. I am very sad that I am not allowed to play anymore and I had 3000 Sweeps seized because of this misunderstanding with the VPN faking my region. I really want to be able to continue to recommend Global Poker to friends, and my other professional friends are also very spooked by this banning with no warning for using a VPN. I understand Global Poker is focused on following regulations regarding sweepstakes, and I also make sure to always follow all regulations when I play. I never played from anywhere besides the USA, so I really hope I can get this figured out. Hopefully I can get in contact with Mr. Lyons or find someone in their support staff who understands what I am saying.

Anyone have any experience with this? I saw others mention Mr. Lyons, but I figured I'd ask again if anyone knows a way to try to resolve this with GP.

Global poker discord has active employees and David Lyons makes posts often. A few pages back on this very forum will tell you where to find the discord

I'm not gonna accuse the poster who said he was banned for using a vpn of doing anything shady, but I am gonna say the amount of broken english and sketchy names I see makes me think not everyone playing is abiding by the sites tos

I can assure you my English is very good. My mother was a professor of English Literature at a notable University here in the states. Hopefully I will be able to prove it to them.

"Global poker discord has active employees and David Lyons makes posts often. A few pages back on this very forum will tell you where to find the discord" (sorry I can't seem to quote two posts in one reply).

Thank you tiger24. I haven't heard of this Discord yet, so I will track it down. I tried contacting Mr. Lyons a few other ways (here and facebook lol) but that seems like my best bet. Thank you very much for the information.

The best way to contact global is to use your registered email address to send an email to: support@globalpoker.com

Why would you need to prove to Global Poker that your mom was an English professor?
I agree with the other poster that your posts are weird and not those of a native English speaker, but w/e.
Can you please post the entire email exchange with global related to this issue so we can confirm your story?

Vendilion, according to my calculations the syntax of your posts gives you approximately a 0.0001% chance of being an American with English as your first language. Why on Earth wouldn't you give some fake story about how it's your 2nd or 3rd language and you weren't born here, rather than doubling down on trying to pass off as having "very good" English.

You don't type like any American I've ever known, the syntax is 100% foreign.

Bizarre posts you've made here.

Have we had any luck in getting them to give a Vault Bonus for the SNGs like they do for ring games now?

I have a quick question about the rake that I can't find an easy answer to anywhere else. Since the rake is 5% across all stakes before reaching rake cap and there is a flat 30% rake back, does that make the effective rake 3.5% - whatever amount isn't taken out of pots that reach the cap(assuming you get 1.5% of your rake back since 5x.3=1.5)? I might be simplifying that which if I am is fine, I'm just wondering what a realistic estimate is.

Your estimate is realistic.
