Anyway, no, sorry, I'm EvilGreebo. My avatar is Dr. Horrible. I occasionally will sit at a table plshurtme has opened though.

I am not sure of the origins of the term, it has however been used by everyone in the poker community for the last 8 years for heads up players who sit at empty tables and only play if a fish sits, I realize this probably does not meet the official definition of the term.
I wasn't aware there were "official definitions" for slang. I'm more familiar with the term in a live player context though. If that's the convention for online then fine. Although, having read as much online as I have, I'm surprised I hadn't come across that implication before. But again, maybe that's the "everyone but you agrees with me cause I'm me" mindset.
ETA: Ok - I retract that one - did some google-fu and found the definition as it applies to HEADS UP tables. I suppose you could count 6max and FR tables where it's just pls as "bumhunting" - at least until more than one other person joins...
I still stand by "who cares"?

I care that he opens BBJ tables because they are higher rake, most players that actually play 6max don't want these tables to run
You SAY "most" players. However, as evidenced by the number of BBJ tables vs. NON BBJ tables (at least in the .5/1 and 1/2 list), this would appear to not be the case. The numerical evidence suggests that
most players in those stakes are quite happy playing the BBJ tables.
But again, you may be suffering from the misguided notion that if you think it, everyone must agree with you. "Most" (see what I did there?) of this latest response does tend to support that impression.
