I cannot open www.bovada.lv with Chrome and I also tried to ping it from the command prompt and got the message that it cannot find the host.

However, I have something called Avast SafeZone which is sort of like a sandbox for online banking and other secure web surfing, and I am able to open the bovada website if I navigate to it using the SafeZone software. Not sure exactly why -- I need to investigate how SafeZone works.

This feels like a freaky DOS attack. I wonder if they didn't pay a ransom.

I was able to get back on a couple of hours ago after having some trouble and logging off for a half hour (while trying to get back in every 60 seconds

A Comcast issue, really? Just when I was looking for an excuse to ditch them they go and do something like this and totally redeem themselves...

I'm in CT.

Bovada isn't going to lock anyone's account permanently for using a VPN. They do it as a security precaution, as do most other sites. Personally had this happen on both Bovada and Merge and after explaining it was me using a VPN was up in no time.

People use VPN's for plenty of legit reasons. Unless you're playing from country not allowed(does Bovada even block anyone?) you'll be fine. It's not like you're on Stars from the US..

*I will say it's possible in the last 10 months they've changed this, but I very much doubt it.*

Comcast user as well btw.

This is twilight zone stuff right here...

after my last post, left page and tried to reload page...

it loaded main page, said i was still signed in but would not display name or account balance...tried to navigate to sports/casino/poker and got error messages.

Closed out window and retired several times with same results.

Now..im getting the error message for the main page period.

Down or not has Bovada.lv as running...

Been down all day for me. Could access the site on my phone earlier but not now. I'm a Comcast user from the US.

Comcast better get it together or they're getting cancelled! Any Comcast users tried using a mobile hotspot just to confirm it is indeed Comcast. Though it seems to be.

I couldn't log in at my office earlier today, where I have Comcast internet. At home now and fired right up and can register and sit at cash tables. Have AT&T at home. Also, connection issues really seem to be effecting numbers in the evening MTT's. $35K and $12.5K both with lower than normal numbers at this point on a Friday.

Has anyone called comcast ? I'm getting the run around and it seems like the people I talk to haven't got a clue to why it's not working so they make up stuff that makes no sense .

If someone does call comcast I hope you get someone knowledgeable , let us know

Thanks

I made a conscious decisions to stay in tonight to play instead of going out and getting drunk. I'm regretting that decision. May need to just get drunk at home.

It's a DNS issue. Use a public dns sever address, make sure it's the first in the path, and you should be fine. I had the same issues (comcast) as reported in this thread til I did this.

If you're going to use public DNS, use google's: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

As for how to do this- go to network settings (on windows), find the network you are using. Go to properties and find "internet protocol version 4 TCP / IPV4" edit DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and use alternate 8.8.4.4 - works fine for me now, thankyou
