Regs who already play across multiple sites that all have sync breaks are def much less likely to play on bovada b/c they dont have them. Theres multiple reasons why some people cant manage to play nonstop for multiple hours which they would have to if theyre playing the bovada mtt schedule

What does synchronized breaks mean, in this particular context?

also moving tables often prevents people from using their illegal huds

In this context it'd mean that all MTTs would have a break starting at xx:55 for 5 minutes each hour. Most sites do this so players can use the restroom, grab a snack, etc. Bovada does not. Sit down at 12 different MTTs and you potentially could have breaks every 5 min at one of your MTTs, none of them synchronized.

Anyone notice more disconnections lately? I havent really ever had a problem with it but it happens about 5 mins into every session and then again 30 mins later

This.

And it was particularly annoying today as I had KK and AA in the BB playing 2/4 with a 5x raise and 2 callers. Both times I timed out and my hand was folded. Im on other networks too with no problems so the problem isn't my connection either.

Been playing on Bovada for a long time. I haven't had a disconnect in over 6 months.

Lucky you. I have never had a problem with disconnections after over a year of playing. Lately, like literally last 3 weeks its becoming annoying. I hope its just a short term problem or some bs on my end.

I am a HU and an MTT reg on Bovada:

1) F*** synchronized breaks

2) F*** RB parasites (fwiw, I lost my grandfathered 32% RB when rakeupdate disappeared)

3) Keep top heavy MTT payout scheme

The fact that Bovada completely decimated their competition in the U.S. and continues to OWN the poker market can largely be attributed to their innovative and unique business model. The last thing they need is to mimic other losers in the industry. Those of you who want B.S. like synchronized breaks and non-anonymous tables, you have other options. Just a matter of what trade-offs your are willing to make...

HUDs are completely legal on Bovada per the sites written TOS and those TOS rules have been verified via a Bovada rep here at 2+2 as well.

I get kind of touchy about this subject because I use a HUD on Bovada and your post basically implies that me and others using HUDs are cheaters and are cheating when we obviously arent.

If HUDs were forbidden per the rules, I assure you that I would not use one.

I think most of us in this thread are honest when we compete on the tables and feel the same way.

is there any way to monetize your Poker Points besides buying tournament tickets?

i hate tournaments and would sacrifice significant equity to just convert them to cash

Woah, I was just trying to stir up the conversation. I understand that Bovada is catering to recreational players, and they should be, but they should also consider synchronized breaks if recreational players want it.

And yeah their payout schedule's fine. If anything I'd like it to be *slightly* more top heavy (slightly less to everyone except top 18-27 depending on field size) but I'm not to concerned with that.

I don't have time to sugarcoat it... Opportunity cost is too high; too busy "printing" monies on Bovada. So I say it how it is. I post primarily for myself and at most for the 3-4% of 2p2ers, i.e. those who actually have sufficient IQ to recognize value. Oh and nothing new under the sun... if people like you weren't so lazy, and bothered to do a little research in the thread you are posting, you'd within a min. realize that all of these topics have already been discussed ad infinitum in this very thread and some others! FFS it's 2014, and there is such a thing as GOOGLE!
