Was one of the players at the 100K FT on Bovada which was disconnected. Joined 2+2 to jump in on the conversation about tonight's software failure as it's the first time I've ever been a part of an issue like this. Anyone involved can HMU on twitter (@chipsdigme) or Skype (ChipsDigMeSTL). To chip-chop is unfair, as it shifts the burden from Bovada to the players. If they don't make this right, I'll..... sue them? lol... such a bad spot, trying to laugh it off.

Thanks. Definitely sick. I played the 100k on Bovada for the first time just before my WSOP trip a few weeks ago and took 4th in it. Cashed out some of it quickly (rec'd check within 2 weeks or so) without any issue at all. So I don't get the sense that this is anything more than a one-off, poorly timed (for me) software issue. We'll see how they handle it.

i too was disconnected and unable to reopen the client or the website. I was although able to from my Tmobile cell. So i figured i would try a VPN just to test. I was able to connect to the website but not the client. I then used my mobile hotspot and was able to get back onto the client. Any chance that they are blocking the Bovada client from the ISP side?

mine said that too and then they seemed to do a chipchop of the tourney because I was massive chiplead with 18 left in one of the 16$ tournies when it froze and they gave me 500$

Ya I got basically inbetween 1st and 2nd money put in my account. I dont know how thats fair to other players. I feel like my account is gonna look different when I wake up and its gonna be tilting.

highly doubt they change your payout reward, this has happened before

Wow craziness, gigantic fail on Bovada's part. I should have checked this thread sooner.

Before I disconnected, I was playing in a few tournies where it seemed like 1/3 of the player field was disconnected. I wonder how they'll sort this out.

My sng were working and then stopped again.

Unfortunately, there are some wide spread connection issues that are hitting players on the network this evening/morning. Because of this, tournaments with start times up to and including 2:30 have been, or are being, cancelled. These tournaments are following the tournament cancellation policy listed here:

This will occur if the tournament has been canceled prior to actually starting OR if the tournament is canceled prior to one or more players being eliminated from the tournament.

In this case, all players registered for the tournament will get their buy-in and fees refunded (including re-buys and add-ons if purchased). All refunds are done in the exact same way they were bought. If you bought in with a Tournament Ticket then the ticket would be returned to you.

Cancellation with No Players in the Money
When no players are in the money and a tournament is canceled, all remaining players will be refunded their entry fee and then the prize pool is divided based on the following formula:
1. 50% of the prize pool is distributed evenly among all players remaining.
2. 50% of the prize pool is distributed proportionally based on chip count.

Cancellation with All Players in the Money

1. Each player receives the minimum prize not yet awarded at the time of cancellation.
2. The remainder of the prize pool is distributed proportionally based on chip count.
One-on-One (Heads Up) Sit and Go Tournaments
Because the outcome of a heads up tournament can be affected when one player stays connected while another does not, we reserve the right to do a chip count distribution if our site experiences a downtime that warrants the cancellation of tournaments.

Guaranteed Tournaments
If a tournament with a guaranteed prize pool is canceled:
1. When players are NOT in the money, the payout will be based on the prize pool composed of buy-ins only.
2. When players are in the money, the payout will be based on the guaranteed amount if the buy-ins fail to comprise the guaranteed amount.
Refunds are being handed out as tournaments are being cancelled. However, if you feel that the amount you receive is not correct, please allow 12-24 hours to pass (to allow for support to comb through the high volume they are receiving at the moment) and then email your operator's support.

The odds are zero to a trillion. This is a Bovada problem that has nothing to do with the U.S. or any legal entity. Stop scaring people.

How Bovada crashes on average twice a week for hours at a time is beyond me.
