I seen people post about this but it wasn't really affecting me much and then poof, like a plague, its happening at every table. I assume people think they're trying to get games started but I feel it just causes games to break because players are constantly getting sent to tables with 3 people all sitting out instead of the games running with open seats.

why did this become such a thing all of a sudden?

+1 I hadn't played here in a while, but I still have a small roll on Bovada for the occasional sports bet. I fired up some 500NL tables 2 nights ago and was constantly being transferred from table to table with multiple players sitting out. When I finally got a 3-handed game going multiple players would join, sit out and then leave after a little bit. After that game broke and I began transferring from table to table again with multiple players sitting out I just said **** this and left.

The PLO tables aren't that bad. Plus I've learned to help sometimes fill up a table by leaving a table. For example, if I have four 6-max tables open, if I am headsup at one table and leave then that player will likely be sent to any open seat at my other three tables (unless he is already seated at the other three). If the opponent has an odd stack you can even confirm that is who got moved. Then I reopen a fourth table.

Rake kills so I try to do my best to play full 6-max tables at PLO.

Some Bodog/Bovada/Ignition admins read my comments here over the last few months re people sitting out 2/5, they emailed me personally, and invited me to the private bodog forum.

They claimed multiple times (despite me saying that it doesnt work) that they introduced a rule/update that would remove players that sitout after 10 seconds. Myself and other people have yet to see this update actually work, if it works at all?

I told them to change the mechanics of the sitout button, and not allow someone to sitout at a table without playing a hand. They claimed that they will talk about it with the other staff.

Don't get your hopes up for anything though...

The fast poker version solves a lot of angle shooting. Given the changes Bonition has made over the years, every time I open the poker client I half expect it to be fast poker only.

I play FR NL tables and I get 40 h/hr, with the old software I got 50 h/hr.

you can sit out for three orbits on an active table what is good. however you can block a table by siting it out as a start and if nobody wants to play because mostly only regs do that, nothing happening. sit out should only work for 5-6 mins. its a toilet or little food

Under no circumstance should someone be able to sitout with playing a hand, it is a simple fix that will fix the sitout abuse.
I've played nearly 1.25 million hands at this site over the last 3 years, at 2/5 fr its ****in ******ed everyone sitting out.

Sitout was meant to take a break food/bathroom etc, not to table camp, not to sitout and look at a table without playing.

1.Every ****in day we have morons who join a 9 handed game, sitout for 10~ minutes to scout a table then usually just leave. It is ****in ******ed when we have a 9 handed table with 4-5 players sitting out. **** all of you, you scummy sack of shits.
2.Every ****in day when trying to start new tables we have 3-4 idiots usually sitting out who refuse to start new games. One player whom I refer to as "the bot", is the only player since Sept to start 2/5 games. Maybe it is actually a bot, as I've never not seen this player playing 2/5 fr (he plays 35/25 15%3b, 3bs to 35 ip).

Just rework how the sitout button works and don't allow players to sitout if they haven't played a hand (which happens with #1/2 above).

Trying to think of why anyone would do this, and there's only one thing I can think of. Perhaps it's a little too tinfoil conspiracy , but could it be colluders looking to get on the same table together? So they keep trying and sit out until they can all get together and then sit in once another player shows up.

We should do something about this sitout problem at midstakes. It's super hard to get in hands. Maybe starting a petition would help?

Yelling and cursing on a poker forum isn’t going to solve the sitout angle shooting. And I wouldn’t rely on Bonition to come up with a good solution to the problem, they actually created this problem. Plus the workers at Bonition are not necessarily poker players or even think like poker players. So bro, stop screaming and start coming up with actionable ideas.

First of all the rake and playing from the blinds are losing propositions for players, therefore I don’t like your idea of having to immediately post when you come to a table (unless it is like fast poker where you enter a table as the big blind). I have some ideas, here is one, this site doesn’t give players the ability to observe tables, therefore to stop the sitout angle shooting when you are in sitout mode the whole table should be blurred out where you can’t see what is going on. Players in sitout mode should not be able to gather any information. And there will be no peeking where you can sit back in for a split second look around and then sit back out. Sitting in means you are choosing to play the blinds/post.

Sorry got banned from the private forum since yesterdays posts, the bodog/ignition/bovada reps read this thread quite often, and I guess they didn't like me calling them out.

Hey guys, so I have played on Ignition for many months now but all of a sudden it is not working. I tried getting on today and my computer gives me an error message that says "error 42" It does not give any other information. I have tried uninstalling and downloading Ignition multiple times, restarted my window laptop and even went ahead and sent Ignition's customer service an email about the issue.

I am not very knowledgeable with computers so I have tried about all I know that could fix the problem. Anyone have experience with this issue or maybe know a solution? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

This is an outstanding idea and should be suggested on their forums. I’ll add that you could remove the ability to sit out at individual tables. People who are actually taking breaks and not bumhunting only need the option to “sit out all tables on bb”
