When I play, I get disconnected from Bovada every 10-15 minutes. I have to kill the program and reconnect. Sometimes the game is lagged. Tonight I got half blinded out when I disconnected and when I would re-open it, it would say I had no Internet.
This is NOT a problem with my Internet. I have dedicated fiberoptic and am playing hard-wired with my wireless radio off. I work from home for and use my Internet connection for VOIP about 45 hours a week providing tech support for AT&T. I know all about speeds, latency, and jitter and have to regularly test them
.
I'm running Windows 7. Two things I have noticed which may have nothing to do with anything:
1) Somehow I set up a home network with sharing on my PC and when I do put my router in line (it's completely disconnected as a norm for work) and I connect up now instead of connecting to my router and specifying the password, I connect to the home network and specify the password I set when I set it up. I can't figure out how to delete it and go back to the way things were, but like I said I don't know if it has anything to do with it.
2) The Bovada poker program always ask me to run it as administrator, which I do. But none of my other programs ever prompt me for that and it's icon has the blue/yellow security shield on it on the desktop (?). And I only have one account on my PC which of course is an admin account, and my guest account is disabled.
This is all I know.
And that I need to have a site that I can trust so I can actually play with decent stakes.
Thanks!!
