As far as deposits go, most people use credit cards or debit cards if they're not comfortable with bitcoin. If using bitcoin, don't go straight from coinbase etc to ignition, make sure to use an intermediate wallet. If you know how to use bitcoin already then great use that. It's fast and easy.

I always withdraw via bitcoin however, it's fast and easy. Usually less than 24hrs.
Thanks very much for the helpful response.

Is there a wallet you guys recommend? I was going to use breadwallet but can't b/c of phone ios issues (b/c of my poker tracking app I'm stuck using an old ios).

If you are just going to deposit bitcoin on poker sites, just make it easy on yourself and use an online wallet like Blockchain.info. The whole "you don't own the keys, you don't own the bitcoin" thing only applies if you are hodling bitcoin or getting into the trading game.

I wouldn't use coinbase. They've **** the bed a few times the last year with some of their policies. Again, might not matter if you aren't trading and just getting money to the sites, but it s what it is. I use Gemini. No problems with them at all so far.

So, my suggestion:
Deposit: Gemini-->Blockchain-->Bovada
Withdraw: Bovada-->Blockchain-->Gemini

Search this thread for EndTheFed's post. And there is a bitcoin deposit thread here somewhere he's posted in as well. Good info from him.

First recommendation would be the desktop version of Electrum, set up following this guide: https://imgur.com/a/iTxXr

Make sure to download directly from their website Electrum.org - type it into your browser, don't google or click a link.

For a mobile wallet, I'd say Airbitz.

Airbitz is very user friendly and should be simple for a new user to figure out. Electrum is a little bit more technical, but you're going to save on transaction fees. Not as important right now because fees are super low... but worth it in the long run.

I don't recommend Blockchain.info to new users anymore because better options have come out over the years that are also simple to use. Other wallets are more secure, will save on transaction fees, and importantly for many people here Blockchain.info isn't able to send to Bitpay.

there's someone that sits at 75bb and never plays. he'll just sit, sit out, wait until he gets kicked off, then sits back in again.

could be datamining? someone who just likes to watch poker?

Which chat rep did you speak to on this? I called ignition and they told me they do not allow ignition in nj, ny, nevada and a few other states.

They said they use to accept it for a short time and after that, anyone with an account in those restricted states were then given a check or balance of their remaining balance.

Anyone else? The rep seemed pretty sure of this.

Data mining wouldn’t be my first guess.

Now that Bovada offers poker again. Have sports bettors returned to Bovada/Iginition Poker? Who has noticed the games got softer again since that change?

No change in quality, but I've noticed it's way easier to find tables since Bovada brought poker back

The 97% issue still exists on Ignition. To fix it, close the table, swap the client to the Casino tab, and then take your seat. Could take one try, could take 5 tries, but always works eventually.

My main issue is every now and then, I get the pop-up that a tournament starts, but the table isn't visible, and I'm forced to close and re-open the client to access it.

THIS.

This is by far the most serious issue with the software imo, for MTT/SNG players anyway.

The 97% thing is clearly annoying and would prefer the table load normally. That pales in comparison though to needing to close the entire client (sitting in any # of tourneys at any given stage of the tourney) to get that invisible table to become visible.

It's exceptionally frustrating too because you can hear the action at the non-visibe table (the folding swoosh, chips moving, raises, etc).

I'm unaware of any fix or trick for this, but it drives me nuts. Can't imagine I'm the only one who feels this way.

Deposited 1k about a week ago and applied for the welcome bonus. I noticed that I wasn't unlocking any points towards the bonus and called in to make sure. Now the rep is telling me I have a casino bonus, they are unable to transfer the casino bonus to a poker bonus, and are refusing to let me withdraw.

Any suggestions on what to do? This whole situation seems fishy. It doesn't even seem legal what they are doing, holding onto funds and not even letting me forfeit the bonus?
