It's the Aunt Irma effect - now that everyone out there has heard of bitcoin and sees the growth, they want in, and the fees rise accordingly.

I just saw a popup ad out of no where while i was researching which sites are still available to US players because i am sick of the ones I am on now. It said that Ignition is now accepting players from New York again, can anyone confirm this ?

Edit: I also just asked customer service on the live chat at ignition and they confirmed NY is allowed again. So I guess I am going to sign up and try to deposit

so I just deposited 500 on ignition via Bitcoin. I am wondering , if and when i do wanna cash out, does it matter if bitcoin's price is high or low at the time ? Like if bitcoin is 16k today, do i cash out today or wait till it hits 20k? Or does that not matter because I am cashing out the monetary value at that point and if i just want the cash and dont want to invest in bitcoin can i just cash out the cash ?

probably not the correct forum for investment advice

the easy answer is when you cash out, watch your bovada acct/email like a hawk to know when it's cleared so that you can initiate a bank withdrawal asap. or speculate on it and try to PRESS YOUR BET like real degens do. the choice is yours, gl

There has to be a better way?! I emailed both Bovada about fees, and they are not taking accountability for anything.

I want to deposit $2500 into ignition, I ordered a hardware wallet. When I read their website it says Ignition does not charge deposit or withdrawal fees.

So what's the deal here are these fees so high because of small deposits? what is the best way to go about it? A friend is sending me the bitcoins to my wallet and he is not into poker so from the wallet are the fees still going to be like the posters above?

I've only played on the network a handful of times this year due to last year's software issues being so tilting to me. I fired up a few 50nl tables because I had an itch to play and couldn't find any action elsewhere. Not 15 hands in and one of the tables completely froze midhand while the other tables were fine. I was about to close them all out, but stacked 2 players on a table right then and stuck it out for a couple hours. Even loaded up another table. I didn't have another issue the whole session. I probably still won't play here regularly because if it's freezing at 3am I assume it doesn't get better when traffic is higher.

My question is what is the best way to finesse the tables when trying to resize? I would try to make them smaller and they'd get bigger. WTF

Hard to explain but don’t drag the corner (diagonal arrow) just drag the side (horizontal arrow). As if you were just trying to make the window wider lengthwise. It resizes better this way. Do in very small adjustments.

I’ve gotten really good at this lol

Anyone else having extreme memory issues when running 6+ mtt's with the most recent update? The client was already a pretty big memory hog for me (multiple processes etc) but today I had tables randomly turning black and becoming un-clickable/un-closeable as well as browsers freezing frequently. Fairly sure it's not on my end or due to other clients bc every time I restarted ignition things were back to normal for a bit.

The bitcoin network is currently overloaded so any bitcoin transaction will incur a ~$30 miner fee which has nothing to do with Ignition.

If your friend's bitcoin is on coinbase he should swap it for bitcoin cash and send that to you. You can only deposit bitcoin cash weekdays during the day and you have to call them to do it but there is ~0 fee involved.

If your friend's bitcoin is in a non-exchange wallet, you could get him to send directly to Ignition by initiating the deposit and giving him the address and amount of btc to send (you have a 15 minute window to do so) so you only have to pay the fee once.

Terms of Use must have been updated sometime recently:

2.3. Use of the website and associated services are expressly prohibited from the following states: DE, MD, NJ, NV.

Why is Maryland banned and why is Pennsylvania OK?

I can see them banning Pennsylvania at the beginning of the year once online poker is officially launched in that state as it's been approved no state sites there yet.

Maryland has to do with some DOJ issue I believe that they've kept as a banned state for years now. They must feel it's just not worth potential legal issues offering services in that state

Hand replayer just takes me too hand history. It doesn't show the last hand anymore so I can't see my opponents hand at showdown. It's been a few weeks since I logged in. Was there a change in policy? If not any ideas of how to get it back?

This was the reply I got when I asked them about the btc deposit.

"When making a deposit via Bitcoin, the amount may either be higher or lower than your deposit amount as the currency fluctuates. The value depends on the time that we receive the deposit funds."

What a load of horse****
