This happened to me this am at the FT of a $33 tournament when were 3 handed out of 844 runners. I have the chip lead and open w/ KK on the button. Get action then the software disconnects me. After two restarts of Bovada I'm finally able to login, only to be almost 3rd in chips. I guess this is a TVB but the difference between 1st & 2nd was over $1,000. The player who benefited from my KK disconnect ended up winning and I took second. Kind of frustrating that in 13 hours of play the only disconnect occurred in a high equity spot. COntrary to their pop up message, my internet connection was, in reality, fine.

Anyone know what kind of partnerships/marketing etc., other than transferring Bovada players, Ignition is doing to get new players?

I have seen ads on poker coaching related websites, those who visit them are exactly the kind of market they supposed to be targeting. Especially when sports bettors are gone.

I finally decided to make the jump to ignition.
Currently I am downloading the ignition software, a 13mb file, and it's been over 5 mins and still has 15 mins left..
for reference, I have a 40mbps connection, and I just speed tested it(can do 2-4 mb's per second), so basically they are sending me the install file on what is barely faster than dial up modem speeds.

Wait until sept 30th gets closer, when everyone who hasn't switched over decides to make the change, and they are all trying to download the software at the same time. I bet it's going to take multiple hours to download the software any time close to before or after sept 30

Are you guys able to play on Bovada right now? I've never had connection issues unless everyone else is also having issues. I have the DNS set to 8888 and I cleared history/cache. The program launches, but at login it keeps giving me the "There's a problem with your connection." Haven't been able to get in at all today. All I really want to do is download my hand history.

Funny, this seems to happen every day now... But, today, it only happened to me once so far. I opened the client, tried to log in, got the problem with your connection error, closed the client, opened it again, and got in fine.

Sound is back after switching to ignition:

I switched over to ignition today. I transferred my balance over, and now I have sound again. It is so great to have a beep again when it's my turn.
So if anyone else is having sound problems, you might want to try to do the switchover to ignition

It's weird because I never have connection issues unless everyone else is. This thread has to be blowing up with tinfoil hat scenarios for me not to get in. I might get the error once, retry, and then I'm almost always good to go like you were able to today. No luck today tho.

Seems like maybe they're pushing people to transfer over early. Dunno if actually true. Thing is I didn't plan on transferring over. I was going to withdraw and cease all contact with this company after Sept 30. At least until I hear that Ignition has all connection issues, rebuy button issue, and all the other BS hashed out. I've put up with this **** all year and I will be glad to see it go. The Bovada Poker I loved died at the beginning of this year.

I sports bet, but there's no way I'd leave money on this scam site for that. They juice up my lines to -145 because they know my betting patterns. If I go into an incognito browser the line will be at -115. Login and it shoots up 30 cents? Only time I bet there anymore is when I like a line that goes against my typical betting pattern because then I actually get a pretty nice price. So you sports bettors looking at keeping money there just realize that over time that extra 30 cents on each line will kill your profit margins. Always check the line out in a private browser first and shop around on other sites. Most sites don't customize lines to you like this, but there are a few that do.

My apologies for that. I just feel like those who aren't aware of Bovadas practices when it comes to sports betting should have someone informing them. They obviously don't feel obligated to let us know this. And I'd be shocked if 100% of people reading this knew that this is how they operate.

There are no customize line for every single person. My theory is they have two line for two group. One is for everyone in the beginning which is a bit exploitable against football fishes. The second line is super exploitable against fishes which is usually what they want the public to pick taking a 65/35 chance or whatever when it heavily juice. Now if you are a pro and they notice you exploiting their line they would just limited your betting so small that it isn't worth it. Also it a myth that sport book would want to balance both side by playing GTO and earning vig. They make way more money taking +ev line when they know what the public like and just limited pro bets.

I'm surprised you appreciate my posts as I intentionally come off as a dick in just about 95% of them including the one you quoted twice. Thanks for the high regard though

Sigh, Unable to log in again.. getting same "unable to establish connection" message.. I already changed my DNS settings a while ago, and did the fix on post #36179 on Sunday to be able to log in, and now unable to and not sure what to do.
