Still down here too.

They have also had a string of bad checks again (see payout thread).

Makes me wonder...

Hopefully this is just maintenance.

As I recall, when a poker site gets locked down you get a big DOJ headline.

At least that's what I recall with Stars and Party Poker

(I may be wrong; it was a few years ago)

My last check was from China not Canada, which was different...but it actually worked better. This one I could deposit with my mobile phone, the others I had to mail in for the bank to fiddle with before funds would show up.

Mod please edit this quickly. Don't tell where checks come from!

Another big difference (although not sure it would matter) is that pre-Black Friday the DOJ stance was that the Wire Act applied to online poker, but that has obviously since been modified.

Knowing that, would they still go after the existing sites in operation with the increased murky legality?

Are credits from bonus clearing applied to the account without a notification such as an email or pop up message upon first login since acquiring the credit?

Looking at my Cash Transaction history the only thing that may represent a level 1 credit of $10 is a transaction with the description, "undefined". Is this my level 1 credit?

Comparing the 200% bonus promotion page with the 100% bonus promotion shows the same payout rates at each level. Shouldn't the 200% payout rate be doubled so $20 instead of $10?

You might be correct, but Bovada has no such protection if indeed it exists. Bovada is a sports book. Accepting sporting bets clearly still falls under the wire act.

Btw guys, can we go one site maintenance or server issue without leaping to the DOJ has shut them down.

Every site has these issues from time to time. Its completely standard. Also, the site isnt going to avoid these issues because Timmy from Idaho planned on playing poker at that time. The world doesnt revolve around you.

Does anyone know if Bovada uses a continues shuffle or a pre-dealt shuffle?

As in, is the turn card determined prior to the hand or is it randomly selected at the time of the flop draw and turn...

nothing on a computer is random everything is sequenced.

You are wrong. Many RNGs are not pseudo-random, they use actual truly random events to generate a truly random deal. Pokerstars for example uses random user input, including the summary of mouse movements and events timing collected from client software amongst other things.

If you google you can find other sources that have been used to produce truly random results as well such as radioactive decay and thermal noise.

And for the record, even advanced pseudo-random generators are for all intent and purpose random and absolutely without a doubt unpredictable.

I know your a riggie so I figured Id clear things up before some people could misunderstand your post not knowing your history on this forum.

Yes it's true.

Call Bovada and let them know you plan to deposit via MG. Bovada will give you a 72 hour window to make the deposit as well as the following information:

Receivers Country
Receivers First Name
Receivers Last Name

You may have to visit a MG location instead of using the MG website depending on what Bovada tells you to do. If the later then once at a MG location, request the red and white form to send money. Do not mention Bovada nor online poker. Fill in the above receiver information where appropriate as well as your information as the sender. Also include the amount of money you are sending and write USD above it next to the heading, "TRANSACTION". Sign and date the form and give it to the MG representative along with your ID and method of payment, cash or credit card. MG will charge you a fee like $11.99. At the end of your transaction, MG will give you a receipt and the top page of the red and white form. On the receipt will be an 8 digit order number.

Call Bovada and provide them with the 8 digit order number. If you paid in cash your deposit should be credited within the hour. If you paid in credit card your deposit should be credited within a few hours. Bovada will know how much the MG fee was and will credit it to your Bovada account.

My personal advice, do not use a MG location inside a CVS store. They may no longer carry the MG forms. Instead they may have a telephone kiosk where you are connected with someone who takes the information from you verbally. Then you pay at a CVS cashier provided it works.

FYI about Visa debit card depositing...
I have seen no problems with bank debit cards being accepted by Bovada's cashier, though I am not too comfortable depositing if I have a bunch of money in that bank account. Who knows how protected the debit card numbers are by those shady international shell companies that take money on behalf of the Kahnwake Indians.

I recently went to Wal Mart and bought the WalMart MoneyCard Visa prepaid debit card. It is a card you load instantly at WalMart and register online (give your address and SSN) when you get back to your computer. You can use it for "normal" purchases right away, and they send you a personalized card with name imprint in a week. I learned this key fact:
The temporary card cannot be used for international transactions, but the permanent card can. So you can get a WalMart MoneyCard to deposit successfully on Bovada if you wait a week after giving WalMart your money. Also, there is a line in the terms and conditions fine print that they don't want you using the card for online gambling...
New York Judge Feinstein says this isn't gambling, right?????

whats the max you can load the card with? Whats the fees to load it, and the fees to use it. I know Bovada charges 4.9% to use a visa logo'd card, so if the fees are too much it makes it to costly to get funds on with the visa card. I have used MG from home PC without issue for months now. They also reimburse the fee up to 12$.
