Also, anyone want to crunch the numbers on the EV of next week's Blackjack bonus?
If you were to play blackjack basic strategy to the letter and the normal rate of blackjacks you would probably need to play about 210 hands. That is assuming you get a blackjack every 21 hands. I am not sure the house edge but I believe playing basic strategy perfect should put the house edge at 6 decks with H17 DAS and No late surrender is -.64%. If it is 8 decks it is about -.66%.
If you hit ten blackjacks right at 210 hands you are expected to lose
210 * 5 = 1050 * .64% = 6.72
Your expected to lose $6.72.
You get a $25 casino chip - $6.72 = $18.28
Your expected value at $5 bets would be + $18.28 in optimal conditions.
If you bet $10 your ev would drop to + $11.56 with the $25 casino chip
If you bet $20 your ev would be -$1.88
Correct me if anything is wrong. If you play worst and deviate basic strategy example : stay on 16 or less vs 7,8 , 9, T, A your edge drops and it can go quickly into -ev. Just know your going to be betting close to $1050 to hit the ten blackjacks.
