Hey guys, I am going to be traveling SE Asia for a few months. I still want to play a few games on bovada while im out of the states, as I have tickets to lots of the bovada events coming up in their BVPO series or whatever. Usually not a big deal but I was looking on bovadas site, and it seems as though when registering a new account, USA is the ONLY country it allows you to use. I know they dropped their bodog.EU segment, as well as looks like the bodog888 segment. Probably shouldnt be a problem to use my US acct while travelling, but wanted to see if anyone has any experience otherwise? Thanks

Bovada hides full tables.

They tolerate the poker pro, but only if it doesn't harm their "ecosystem", as the head of the poker department has stated.

Also, FTP was a drop in a bucket when comparing volume and assets to Bovada. You are correct in the statement that all offshore money can disappear at anytime, but I certainly wouldn't compare the 2 companies, as they are completely different. Bovada is run by a sovereign nation of Canada residing Mohawk Indians. I wont bore you with aragraphs to explain the political sensitivity of that. You seem somewhat bright, I'm sure you can reason out why that makes a difference.
exactly i cant win on this site anymore. Only noobs have a chance to win. After cashing out atleast 4k a month for the last year and a half i can no longer cash out more then 1k. Only people who win are noobs it seems like. I get 1-6 outed 70-90% of the time on rivers over 100 times a day i just cant take it anymore. Guess i have to get a job cant keep wasting money on sites where my aces lose to pocket 2s preflop all in a majority of the time just cant do it. goodluck people im done putting anymore serious money on here. The fact the CEO says he wants noob players to do better or the same as poker pros says enuff for me and it is the reason y im losing money. software is incredibly predictable for the badbeat and the noob players kno it. half the time it seems like they r trying to lose because they have something better to do but right on Q the miracle card comes.

Step 1: start betting sports/playing casino games
Step 2: Start playing poker again
Step 3: Implement new strategy for poker, go all-in with weak hands/draws
Step 4: Profit

According to your reasoning

Does anyone here play the bovoda double up sngs with 6 players?

I see they have 130+5 ones and 50+2.50 ones that run. I know its only 4 table max.

Does anyone know what is a good roi for these? I know they have lower stakes as well such as 5s, 10s and 20s.

I'm curious at what is a good ROI for the 135s and 52.50s.

Sigh...

Unless you are meticulously playing 1-2 tables you won't know when someone leaves, or sits and how they will play from one hand to the next. Even then, if someone is playing 100bb and another 100bb comes in playing completely different you really won't know. I know it's beating a dead drum but I'd be fine with them banning huds, but allowing players to make notes and not making them anonymous from one session to the next, let alone one hand to a next the way Bovada does.

Hey guys/rep(s) I have an issue that I need help with.

Been cashing out regularly weekly/biweekly via Money Transfer/WU for a few months now for $500-$1000 USD each time. Just tonight I requested another 1k cashout and my payout was transferred to a Check by Courier.

I called support and did my best to be as courteous as possible (I'm a student and work for a multinational corporation's call center as well) and was told that they will be sending an email over to the "appropriate department" and that a 1 time exception will be made.

I'm not sure if he mentioned "a possible one time" exception but he seemed sincere in what he stated over the phone. I currently do not bank at any banks and use prepaid cards/credit cards so options like M0n3ygr@m and WU are the only ones I can use to receive funds.

Anyone else have this issue, and if so how was it resolved? Any other pointers/tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

like someone said in the other thread you were probably flagged by wu/mg for so many transfers. but honestly why would you eat the ridiculous fees when you could just get a free 3k check a month? their cs is great anyways and any problem just call them (like you did) and they usually help a ton.

A recent update to the software shows when a player is new to the table. And, they allow notes.

I wasn't flagged, just never used WU in the past to deposit which I will now when my balance is at $0.00

I ate the fees because of a bad experience with a check from up north with Stars back in the day and the stories of bad checks occuring with Bovada recently. Any idea on the success rate of the checks? Thanks for your response.

Cancel the check payout if you can, go deposit the min via WU. Withdraw WU. You might have to wait a few days.

I appreciate the response, however phone reps and a few posters in various Bovada threads have said that the player balance must reflect $0.00 before you deposit via WU to withdraw that way as well.

Use the Holdem Indicator hud. Does a very nice job of keeping stats for the current game -- no player historical material. Keeps track of who comes and goes as well. Players are named Player 1, etc. Most important: allowed.

Anyone had trouble depositing Bovada checks or do banks almost always accept them?

I've been playing there for 9 years and have probably requested over 100 checks in that time. I've had one bounce...and they rectified the situation fairly quickly.

The reason that the problem seems worse is that people tend to get vocal when it doesn't work, while they don't post as often when it goes smoothly.

Every now and then, they'll have a bad "batch" where like 15-20% might bounce over a month, but I've only noticed that twice in my time looking in this thread.

Occasionally you'll run into problems trying to deposit them in the ATM, in which case you have to go inside. They'll also occasionally put a hold on the check. I have accounts with four major banks and haven't had any of them outright decline a check. (Though one did bounce.) Some others occasionally seem to run into banks that won't accept them...but just go open an account elsewhere if that's the case.
