1) You can add him as an authorized user on your account. He's not allowed to change any account details, but he is allowed to play. You have to call them to get this set up.

2) You can call Bovada and ask them for permission for him to open an account. It's technically against ToS to do it without their permission, but you may be able to call and get it.
Thank you, I had no idea it was against the ToS. Cheers, will talk to bovada.

I doubt it's actually in there because they don't want more than one person at a household having an account, but rather so they have leverage over suspected multi-accounters. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't actually care at all (particularly after you ask). But if it was me, I wouldn't want to put myself at any risk that I didn't have to be in.

I just ask because I don't know if I should talk to bovada beforehand. He is 18 years old so his bills and such are all in my name and I don't know what bovada would think if he tries to cashout/deposit. He also lives at home currently (he's in college) so his address is the same.
It's fine, I called them with the same situation and they said no problem.

Have had this issue a lot lately. Every time I've had to reinstall the software.

I honestly give up on playing bovada, after having my AA cracked 3 times within 20 hands on a single table I'm done, the non stop runner runners, 1, 2, 3 outters every other hand...I don't see how people can consider this site normal variance, I understand the occasional bad beat happens, but not at the rate this site plows them in your face at

GL in the future boyz

I play on various other sites, Carbon, BCP, as well live, and nothing compares to this **** that brovada does

You got AA 3 times in 20 hands? You must be the luckiest person alive. By the way, I think this is the thread you're looking for:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...dition-255990/

Edit: It's funny how your very last post was 7 weeks ago, saying the exact same thing, and saying that you're not going to play on Bovada anymore.

Oh, and a couple posts before that, about 8 months earlier:

yea pretty lucky considering I lost all 3

first one flop is J24 rainbow, we get it all in he has KJ, turn K river K

second one, flop has 2 hearts, turn heart, he's got AJ hearts for nut flush

last one, he flopped a set of 6's on a 36K rainbow board

btw I"m not saying its rigged, I'm just saying the site seems to be sort of calculated for maximum rate

What do you all think about this:

Before this weekend, the last time I played on Bovada was about two years ago. On Saturday, I decided to start playing again. I logged in to the bovada website and attempted to make a deposit via my credit card. After a few moments of processing, it was decline. No matter, I pull out my debit card and try again. After a few additional processing moments, it too was declined. Curious, I logged into my bank and saw that I had a pending transaction on my debit account for the amount I attempted to deposit. However, my Bovada account still showed zero dollars.

I called Bovada and spoke with a customer service rep. He told me the deposit was indeed declined and I should expect the pending transaction to not go through and the funds to be placed back into my bank account. He then told me he could take my card information over the phone to make the deposit. I agreed and after a few moments, I saw another pending transaction on my debit account. This time, however, the funds also showed in my Bovada account.

I have been checking my bank account to verify that one of the pending transactions was indeed placed back into my account. I looked at my account today and saw that both pending transactions -- the one that was declined and never added to Bovada AND the one that was approved and added to my Bovada account -- were added back to my debit account. I still have the money in my Bovada account.

What should I do? Should I contact Bovada and presumably figure out how I can transfer them the funds that I attempted to deposit? Should I say nothing?

tl/dr - Tried to deposit money - shows up in Bovada account but never withdrawn from my bank account. Bovada doesn't seem to notice. Honesty prevails or HOUSE MONEY!!!

If you plan on ever withdrawing from here you should get this issue solved, if you plan on just losing it, while not right, you could ignore it I guess. There is the moral and immoral choice here, I guarantee they will notice at some point and may just lock your account until it is resolved.

Honey Do List,

It depends on what kind of person you are. Don't know why you're asking advice here.

I HATE this. I don't play cash games much, but when I do I HATE HATE HATE this.

Especially because at the moment I'm playing with an unstable cable, and it sometimes knocks out slightly lol. I literally can't play cash games properly right now.

You should definitely call them asap and let them know, I'm sure they check this thread and are able to verify who you are based by the info given

Looking at the rake structure here...

Am I going to be better off grinding .10/.25 or .25/.50? There's a break in the structure right at this point, and I need to choose between the two.

I play 9max.

@Heresy

You should be choosing your stakes based on skill level and BR. It is obviously better to be paying less of a percentage of your winrate in rake, but it isn't going to be significant enough to justify playing a higher stake than you have the skill/BR to beat. That being said, rake is less of a factor the higher the stakes you play. But winning before rake at 10bb/100 at 25nl is going to be less profitable than beating 50nl at 5bb/100 before rake. I may have messed that up so someone please correct me if I am wrong.

There is a rake jump of $2 max at 10/25c to $3 max at 25/50c, I'm not sure if that has been included in your calculations.

80bb pot at 50nl $40 - $2= $38 so that is 5% of the total pot
80bb pot at 100nl $80 - $3 = $77 so that is 3.75% of the total pot

So I'm pretty sure that you pay the same proportion of rake in the small pots, but the bigger pots you pay less.

For 50nl vs 100nl, yes*, but not necessarily if you're comparing 25nl to 50nl like he was.

9.6bb pot at 25nl: $2.40 pot - $0.12 rake = 5% rake
9.6bb pot at 50nl: $4.80 pot - $0.20 rake = 4.17% rake

10bb pot at 25nl: $2.50 pot - $0.12 rake = 4.8% rake
10bb pot at 50nl: $5.00 pot - $0.25 rake = 5.0% rake

So can be higher or lower, but will usually be lower at 50nl than 25nl (for pots that don't reach max rake).

* Edit: Actually, on average, rake will be lower for 50nl than 100nl for small pots, since the fractional rake not kicking in will have more of an impact at lowering rake below 5% at 50nl than at 100nl

Worrying about a fraction of rake is like a dying man worrying about a paper cut. That said, play whatever stake you feel comfortable with. If you're depositing the same amount of money, you can decide where you want to spend it. To get more experience and whatnot, play 25nl, the money will last longer. If you just want to get lucky and win a bit, play 50nl and run good.

I assume it's a "Mad Monday" event? They run huge MTT schedules on Mad Mondays.
