I don't get it boys, I haven't played online/bovada in months due to how rigged it feels, decided to deposit a little and try some low stakes, within 30 mintues I've had non stop people calling me down to the river with absoutely nothing on the flop, just random hands and EVERYOne is hitting runner runner straight, flushes, top pair etc etc

I give up on this rigged **** lmao

Weird. On a Mac (running fully modded cards/tables as well) and it's working just fine.

I recall having to fix the SSL error when I first set up the client but strange that you guys are getting hit with it again. The selfish side of me wants nobody to get up and running and there to be humongous overlays in all my tourneys , but jokes aside, hope you all get it fixed soon

I don't remember

It wasn't something intuitive. But I'm almost certain I got it from the Bovada on a Mac thread. Check there.

I don't have a Mac, but it sounds like it might be a certificate problem. Assuming that Macs have a certificate manager like Windows does, I'd open that up, look for certificates that have just expired (they're probably issued by GlobalSign, if they're like the Windows ones), delete them, and try restarting and logging in again.

You could also try setting your date to yesterday so the certificates will still be valid, although too much of a date discrepancy will itself likely cause a handshake failure.

Ugh. Same here. Running Bovada on Mac OSX.

""There seems to be a temporary problem affecting the Poker client installation. We will continue to attempt to download the client.(SSL handshake failed)"

Spoke to a foreign representative on the phone who was no help.

You can load https://m.bovada.lv/ in a web browser and play that way. Kind of a pain in the ass, but better than sitting here and waiting..

Bovada is the Party Poker of the early 2000 era.

Did you read the rest of my post?

That's mostly just speculation, but based on the fact that changing the date worked (and the fact that the Windows client had that identical problem last year), you probably need to force MacOS to download new certificates.

Ok, no I missed your post, but that makes sense and I'll give that a try. Thx!

- Hey guys, Mac user here having the same problem with the "pokerclient". Sorry for being a newbie but what do you guys mean/how do you "change the date to yesterday?" I have no idea what that means lol.
