Good luck trying to get bigger checks. THe reason for NOT making bigger checks is to stay under the banking radar for examining the checks. Same reason for the 3k limit on MT - it's to stay below the thresholds used/required for the banks and money transfer agents to examine for suspicious activity.

So I doubt bodog would go higher. Then again, I suppose it's a fair question to ask since some checks came out bigger for whatever reasons.

Also, I was able to get 1 free MT but it was a special exception due to a PRIOR *favoor* owed to do a previous issue that was just about resolved and ready for a tranfer right before fees went into place. I don't think yo uare getting a freebie - nor is anyone else. Much as I dislike the MT fees I understand why they put them on there and they seem to be sticking to their guns. I've heard of no other exceptions to fees except in the odd case of making good on another problem that went down.

Just trying to be pragmatic here...I have no official info or represent them in any way etc. etc.

So far I've received 5 checks. All have cleared (2 from the U.S. and 3 from Canada).

I called about getting a check for only $20 and they basically said just wait another week and I'll get a larger one.

Ya I cant belive they dont do something for you or me or any high stakes player for that matter bc i sure as hell no every other poker site has a bank wire offer...I mean you did win that tourney...That is ridiculous for them to not have something in place for big tourney winners...To wait half a year for 75k is just awful

I'm still working with bodog to receive the funds from my September 26th cashout.

My check bounced (after I was unable to cash it with a check cashing service).

I had mailed the check to my mother who is in another town and after it bounced she sent the copy of the check back to me (she deposited it in her account)

Bodog wanted me to try to cash the check (which I couldn't cash before) or re-deposit the check (I don't currently have a checking account).

After much time spent on the phone with bodog, I finally was able to get them to agree to stop payment on the check and send me the funds via MT.

Now they have sent me an email stating it is 7 to 10 business days to stop payment on the check and 3-7 business days for the MT to go through.

I'll be calling them Monday to check the status and see if it is really going to take that long.

FWIW-- FTP and stars will wire you big amounts no questions asked in a few days. I know guys that won alot in MTT on FTP got anything over 20k in a couple days. It's just bodog that won't wire. Prob bc of sportsbook issues.

In a piece of good news, I received check 1 in 12 calendar days. What I think is check 2 arrived 3 days later. (I wasn't home so I have to go pick it up. When I called the dog since I hadn't gotten a track number on it they said they thought that they were spitting checks in as little as every 72 hours now on multi-check cashouts. Dunno if it is true or not, but it seems like that is what happened with my check number 2. If this continues, I will update

question for you guys that got *canadian * checks:

I just got an odd check. It's written out from a name US bank. I checked the bank routing code on the bottom and confirmed that it matches the *name american bank*.

Here's what is weird. The check stock itself looks like a canadian blank - the signature endorsement space on the back is in canadian format, not usa. So, far as I can tell, it's still a US check. But I bet this confuses a heck of a lot of banks. For those of you with *canadian checks* how did you know it was canadian? (If you want to check, google *lookup routing bank code* and try one of those sites where yo upunch in the routing code from the check and se what it tells you who the bank is.)

I've passed this concern on the discrepency back to the appropriate people, maybe this will help........

UPDATE on my bounced check

so...it was quite a process, tho really not as bad as i had feared.
called "normal" cs a couple times, as well as "normal" email cs. they are ok, but not great. if you have a bounced check, insist on talking to a supervisor. that is what i eventually did, and he was VERY good. i got an email addy that i could send scans of the bounced check to, and pics of my bank statement so they could verify fees. i incurred fees of $19, $19, and $35 (3 total of $73) due to this situation. bodog refunded all of these. after the situation was resolved, i contacted my bank and got them to reverse $54 of fees, so i actually came out ahead. while waiting for the check to come back to me, i negotiated with bodog to convert a pending cashout into mt/wu, which i picked up in the normal 1 day. finally, i got the check back in the mail (a legal copy, which i have never before seen). i scanned it and sent it to the email address. they asked me to re-deposit it, saying that it was not cashed "due to bank error". apparently, these are "par-clearing" checks or something. i still dont really know exactly what that has to do with anything, but it is something about a foreign check being issued to clear like a domestic check. anyway, i took the check to the issuing bank, and they gave me cash in hand for it (they were about to try to charge me $5 to cash it because i dont have a checking/savings acct there, even tho my wife has a checking acct, and i have a 100k+ HELOC there, wtf?).

bottom line: everything worked out well, even tho at this point no one should really have any confidence in bodog at all. i actually made money due to the situation, and got a pending payout sooner. i dont know what would have happened if the issuing bank had not been in my neighborhood. i was given 3 phone numbers by bodog for verification of the check, so i would urge others to call/email bodog prior to depositing ALL checks in order to get more detailed info and these phone numbers. this is, of course, totally ridiculous. why should anyone have to do anything more than just deposit a check? i made this clear to the supervisor: why, if there are special rules about "par-clearing checks", are none of these rules or procedures made clear to bodog's clients?!

i am finally down to only $2k on bodog, and i have been losing lately, so maybe i wont ever have to make a payout again!

The checks I've received were issued by a Canadian bank, but in small print below said drawn in US funds via an affiliate bank in New York.

One of my banks claimed the check was foreign and said I'd have to pay a $50 fee to cash it. I argued that it wasn't foreign, and the routing number was based in the US. I told them to send it back and that I'd cash it elsewhere, which I did no problem.

ya, try a year or two ago. its still ok due to all the crap players (the normal standby for why one would play there), but really if you look at it objectively you might actually think that bodog is doing everything in its power to actively kill itself. i finally can say there is no reason at all to defend this site.

I wouldn't go this far. A couple of days ago I received an email from Bodog's player services department. Today, I received a phone call from someone within that department and had a very nice conversation about their payout situation and eventually ended with a very satisfactory result.

I had never received an email before from that specific account, and it wasn't something I had initiated. Bodog has always had excellent customer service over the phone but this experience far exceeded any experience I had had with them in the past. Hopefully this is a sign that they are working on turning things around within the company.

lozing

the cs has always been pretty good, but does that make up for all the stuff that is pretty bad? cashouts (admittadly getting quicker), bounced checks, software, loyalty program (not), no store, and on and on.
