are you talking about a credit card, and having a zero balance and receiving money via fast funds? Pretty dumb with these things...

Also I've used both credit and debit cards to deposit, and my last was with a credit card

requested fast funds on: 3/9
approved: 3/10
received: 3/19 through checking account.

Alright.... I used my brother's credit card to deposit (with his consent) into an account in my name.

Now going to withdraw and they are askng me to complete the CC verification form and submit photos of CC and ID.

Am I screwed?

No

Just get his license / CC scanned and have his signature on the form.

That simple.

They will decline you for wires if they find that you're a "known poker player" and they will not explain how they come to that conclusion.

It has to do with the payment processor not wanting to wire to people they think are known gamblers. Just covering their asses as best they can.

It's happened to a lot of us. Customer service is pretty good though and try to help in any way they can.

Thats interesting. I wonder what gets you "known" lol... I have probably played more poker + $ transactions that 95% of the poker community lol

Not sure what it is. I know I've gone deep and made some final tables of some WSOP events. That's what I assumed got me.

But I've heard of others that haven't ever played a live tournament that this has happened to so who knows.

I've played less than 5 live tourneys in my life and cashed one of them. Apparently, that's enough for them to say I am a "easily identifiable poker player"

Request: Check 3/17/15
Arrival: 3/23/15

This is the third check I've cashed out of Bovada; the first this year. The other two cleared with no problem.

I will post if I have any problems.

Awesome thanks! That will save me from having to spend $50 for a wire transfer

Check requested 3/24

Trying to cash out via check for the first time.

Last time I did rapid transfer but was slapped twice with fees because one of the local drug stores didn't mention that any amount over 5-hundi would be another money order and that had another fee slapped on it (I know it as the "basics" of money orders now, but then I didn't know, and they didn't mention there would be another fee). I want back to scream/shout/stomp my foot but of course nothing came of it, besides a headache for the employees. Whatever, negative externality. Let's see what wonders the check-process brings about...

To those that do wire transfers...

Generally, what are the fees, on average?

Is it better than check by courier? If so/not why?

I was using a credit union and now just realized that the town I moved to has no credit unions to open an account with. Might have to drive a 150 miles to the nearest credit union and open an account. Either this or try the wire fee transfer...

I took it down to my bank and realized the collection fee wouldn't be worth the check...

Thoughts?!?

I use the big bank that is also a male's first name. My fee is $15. And in my last couple wires I've made $600 from currency exchanges. That won't happen every time but it's worth the gamble. Also it took about a week to get money into my account.
