Just go to your bank and tell them you want a cash advance from your cc.
I have a question. Previous posts mentioned being placed on the known gambler list. Is that a bank only list vs the irs who probably already know if you've gotten any 1099's from a casino?
Thanks

So, after all the back and forth of recently giving me a wire option and then promptly taking it away due to me being a "confirmed poker player," they just offered it to me again after I requested a check a couple days ago. They said they can offer me wires but need a response within 48 hours or else they'll just send a check. I had established a local bank account for the purposes of not having an account based in New York, only to be denied, so I canceled the account. Don't make me go through this rigamarole all over again, Bovada.

This sounds encouraging. Did you reask for them or did they just volunteer the wires option. I hope they're back on the table for all of us.

I think that is a form letter they are sending out to many (maybe all?) check requests. I wouldn't take it as an indication of your ability to wire if you are a "known poker player.". Maybe it's due to them being swamped with check requests and trying to slow it down. In the letter they give themselves another 48 hrs to process if you don't respond so they might be buying themselves time.

Hello ,

We'd like to apologize for the confusion. As discussed prior to this payout request, you're still considered a confirmed poker player. That being said, if you wish to process a payout via wire transfer you'd be able to use one of the following 3 options only:

1. A cooperate account
2. A business account
3. A spouses account

Nothing has changed in that aspect. We ask that you disregard the prior message sent to you stating you'd be able to use a wire transfer to your original account and apologize for the confusion.

Best Regards,

Bovada Player Advocacy
My withdrawal was then promptly processed via check.

Any idea what a "cooperate" account is? I assume they just misspelled corporate....

Lol. Yes. But I'm actually looking into getting incorporated for this reason but also for tax benefits (self employment tax is a bitch). My accountant suggested I contact an attorney before doing so.

Guess it's too late to edit. long ago I think there used to be a Bodog cashout thread or maybe it was just party or Full Tilt cash out? If this isn't the right one I apologize.

What I wanted to edit is that first I tried taking a picture of the check and depositing by my phone and that didn't work. Therefore today I went to an ATM and mix it in with two other checks and the ATM rejected it.

Soooo.... how the heck do I get my cash?

Take your check into the bank and give it to a teller.

Hmm...do they ask questions? In the old days ATM was the way to go but apparently not any more.

Perhaps I'll open an account someplace else? Suggestions as to friendly banks?

If they do just tell them adult movies or something.. but no, they don't generally ask questions unless you look super sketchy. ATMs will take some Bovada checks.. generally ones from the Far East as they will have 9 digit routing number. The checks from up north tend to have fewer than 9 digits.

Canadian Bank, with an amount in US dollars. You have to take it to a
teller. The ATM can't process it. It's not a US bank with US dollars.

I have questions regarding depositing to Bovada and which type of rapid transfer to use. I would rather not go the depositing via visa/withdrawing via check route. I have read that MG's fees are cheaper and that if you want to withdraw this way you have to deposit this way but which has better service? Also has there been any issues with WU or MG or is there any other rapid transfer options?

At my bank, I've paid as little as ~$40 and as much as ~$200 per $9500 due to wire fees, loss due to conversion, etc... It is usually around ~$170-180.
