Not yet rec'd.

Contacted DHL and they said that "the package (from North) is in review" which means that it has been "seized by the government."

Promptly contacted BOVADA to cancel the check and generate a new one.

Will update once the payout team contacts me in 24-48 hrs.
I don't doubt at all that it's possible but what makes you certain that "in review" means seized by gov't?

Hi Tim, have you been told about how long it usually takes to get it cashed?

A foreign check seized by the government? What's the crime with a foreign check?

I've read something similar in this thread before. They "seized" the package for inspection but it was delivered at a later date.

I seem to be lucky this time.
Requested 11/23
Approved 11/23
Got an automated call from fedex saying my parcel will be delivered tomorrow. They included the tracking number in the call message.

Question: If it is Fedex, does this mean the check is from the East?

Also, is one place better than another? I remember ahwile back the checks from up North had some issues.

Also, FYI, I deposit in my local CU. I've been a very loyal customer for over 25 years and my balance is more than enough to cover any checks. I've never had any issues

Keep us updated. Did you find out why the check bounced in the first place?

Haven't heard from the payout team yet. However, I did speak with the CS supervisor and he assured me that once the payout team cancels the check, the balance of the check will be credited to my BOVADA account and I then can promptly request another payout (in any method available to me) which they will tag it as "top priority" and expedite it.

Hopefully this is just a minor hiccup that not too many people are affected by.

Will update once the payout team contacts me.

OH, BTW, the CS rep wanted to tell me that BOVADA will charge me $40 to cancel the check, hence my conversation with the supervisor. I will not be charged anything, according to him, since it was no fault of my own.

Curious if anyone has gotten the no more wires email and not been using B*** of A*****?

I got the email 2 or 3 days ago, and had multiple wires returned to my account. I'd just been given the option to wire a couple weeks ago and received only 1 before having it taken away.

If anyone gets more info from bovada regarding this, please post!
After waiting for 2 years, Bovada finally opened wire withdrawals on my account. I requested one, had it immediately rejected because my home branch is in one of their restricted states. So I went down to my local branch where I now live and opened a new account. Requested the wire again, this time it was processed two days later. Then today I get the "known poker player" email and transaction cancelled, wire option removed.

Thanks for the cock tease! And regarding opening a corporate account with another bank for the sole purpose of keeping the wires coming, I'd be really weary about that, especially since sometimes wires can come out to be more expensive than checks anyway. Not to mention the tax implications.. sigh

OK I live in Los Angeles and use a big bank that shares part of it's title with a Cohen Brothers movie.
My only cash out options are Check or Rapid Xfer, and since I'm not paying a 10% vig to xfer, can anyone give me advice aside from the ATM to make sure the check clears? should I just order it? was thinking 2k w/d for first trial...but would like to take off the max 1/month. Is my bank ok? or should I use a california CU? or a different financial institution?

please PM with any relevant advice. Really looking for some guidance

The teller @ the bank told me the check bounced the morning after I deposited. Turns out they never ran the check, the exact same branch received a check a week or 2 earlier that bounced from the same company. The next day they made me come by to sign paperwork saying that they were sending it off to collections, and basically I agreed to pay any fees associated if the check were to bounce. This Thursday will be 21 days. My bank said it would take 7-30 days . Keeping my fingers crossed
