Generally, the fees are minimal. Your bank sometimes charges you a small fee and often a middle bank will charge a fee. The problem is that you wont know until you get it and in the recent past a few posters, including sham who is a reputable reg here, posted about being smacked with pretty ridiculous fees.

They held one of mine there for 2 weeks, I had to have them put a trace on it and tell then what was in the package....(just said a check)......they never did give an explanation but the trace seemed to get it moving.

Received a check from bovada a couple days ago (the amount isn't anything to brag about.)

Tried to deposit via atm and mobile phone and neither option has been successful. Anyone know of other ways to accomplish this?

Haha people that ask this don't actually go all the way to the bank and try to put it in the ATM then drive all the way home without going inside...do they?

can also confirm moneygram is excellent. money was available in 10minutes in my account. was charged $10 for the deposit and bovada credited me $20 to cover the fees.

WU might have higher deposit tho, not sure... MG was like $900 iirc
I always send my WU deposits online. There is a drop-down box where you choose what currency you want the receiver to pickup, USD or local. The money is always in my acct in mins. I have never had a problem depositing into bovada thru WU.

Someone posted earlier that there is a blackout for WU deposits between 4pm-midnight. This is true, but only on Saturdays. Whenever I run into this I just ask the bovada rep to get supervisor approval to put the funds into my bovada acct anyway and they always do. They just have to read me some disclaimer over the phone about if they don't receive the funds from WU blah blah blah.

Idk why people think there is such a problem depositing with WU. Its simple, call bovada and get receivers name, go to WU website to send the cash to bovada, call bovada with mtcn, watch funds appear in bovada acct in mins. Easy game and never have to leave the house .

Cool glad it works. My issue was a year ago and I haven't attempted to use WU's service to deposit since. At the time I even contacted a WU rep on the phone and was told I couldn't send in USD online to the destination... which seemed dumb.

I tried to do it online and couldn't make it US dollars. Drop down didn't work. I've used online WU plenty.

And there def was a black out period yesterday, so it's not just Saturday. It took over 6 hours to hit my account and Bovada told me it was because of the black out period.

Solid input though.

I usually lose about 2% due to currency conversion rate plus bank fee for wire transfer ($15). Also you guys should know that if you have multiple wires queued, they don't necessarily send them in order (I confirmed this by emailing their support because I didn't receive the expected amount. It was higher)

they claimed the other wires came in USD and the latter came in foreign currency and the exchange rate raped me.

i didnt follow up with my bank to see what the exchange rate was, but i'm assuming i got ripped off on both ends...

i suggest if you are withdrawing 15k or less a month to stick with checks and if you need over 15k then do wires. checks are just so fast and easy with no unknown random fees.

i have a few questions about bovada.

1) Is the deposit as easy as giving a VISA credit card number? I have done this in the past with a bank ATM card before and they temp closed my account.

2) Also, my credit card is registered in a state where Bovada is banned. However, I live in a state where it is legal. Does this hurt my ability to deposit or withdraw?

3) Does any poker tracking software exist for Bovada?

Thanks!

My check is being held in Memphis TN since 5/24 also. Anyone have any ideas as to why? If customs, why?

question: How long does your bank usually take to "clear checks" from up north?

I know every bank is different - but curious how long people are waiting until the funds are actually available. I am going on 3 weeks now for my last deposit -- and have another one coming this week.

I am going to try my other bank --- and see if that one is any faster with pushing these things through collections.

For those previously asking itt, I am cashing out via the VISA option. I cannot do checks according to them based on my location so they will only do money transfer or visa (put back onto card used to deposit). It says it's my free cashout per month. Could be really convenient (and can't bounce).

Req Visa payout

$1250
Req - 6/2 just after midnight
Approved - ?
Rec'd - ?
