With drawl 5/12
Recieved 5/17
Deposited 5/27 (tried to cash it at check cashing places, signed it over to my sister)

5/27 Funds Available $1400.30
5/27 Check from canada reversed.

Will be calling tomorrow to see what's going on, Wrote bovada a notice letter. The bank said they will no longer accept signed over checks.

This basically means I'm SoL.

Why is it they won't allow people to withdraw via WU if they don't deposit via WU ?

Why don't you ask your buddy who knows everything about banking?

I'm not sure what I did, to deserve a "Troll" response. But I assure you. It's not a banking issue, over a company preference issue.

My question is why, does it cost Bovada more money to let you with draw via western union?

You got trolled because you came into a thread not knowing what you were talking about telling someone they were wrong when they weren't at all and calling them a liar.

Your story doesn't add up and honestly feels like slander, and lies.
Can anyone elaborate on this fabled debit card option?

I called them a liar, because I've been with this company for over half a decade, and never seen this issue with any of my friends who are much higher rollers than myself, and frequently cash 3k a week.

On top of that, one of the men I work with who is a post graduate in finance, and is working on another degree, made a few statements that I will believe over some guy on the internet slandering a company that neither myself or 3 of my other friends have had an issue with the company (Stealing money) from them.

Yes I called him a liar, and if I can't be proven wrong. Than it's justified. But to slander me because you don't have the required information is absolutely ignorant.

This could possibly be one of the most ridiculous and ignorant statements Ive ever read in this forum. A+

Received an e-mail today that my withdrawal was approved. But, changed to check by courier. I don't have a bank account so how exactly can I cash the check? I read in this thread that check cashing places won't accept it? Maybe I need to open an account at a credit union or a bank. I would appreciate it if you guys could give me some advice. Thanks.

Yeah I just had one bounce a week ago.

Just received a check took about 8 business days.

The check did not look like a normal check as it was on normal printer paper with no watermark or magnetic ink. Anyone have a check that looks like it is done out of someone's home before similar to what I'm describing? Any issues with it?

There's plenty of free checking accounts out there, or ones with low minimum balance requirements. Just go open an account, it takes like 10 minutes.

Yeah, you probably just shouldn't post any more. There is plenty of information backing it up as well. Feel free to take a little time to read before you post ridiculous trash. And you wonder why you get troll responses instead of help..

And FWIW, your friend you speak of clearly is an idiot an has no idea what he's talking about in regards to this subject. There's 866 pages here, read a few of them.

And I can deposit the check from bovada right after I open an account? I presume I would have to wait a few days for the funds to be available.

Usually a couple of days they'll be available, but that still doesn't mean it has cleared yet and isn't at risk to bounce. So you're going to want to not touch it for around 2-3 weeks to make sure.

Ok thanks for the info. I e-mailed Bovada about it and they responded saying I can go to a local check cashing institution to cash it. I've never done this before so I assume the fees might be relatively high for a $900 check. But, I do need this money pretty quick so I might choose do this. Any advice/warnings about using a check cashing institution? Bovada said just don't mention anything about them when I'm cashing it obv. Thanks again.

If a check cashing place approved my check and cashed it, does that mean they were able to successfully draw the funds out of the checks checking account? Sorry pretty new to this.

Just for the record, I moved in April , about 1300 miles from my old town. Didn't make sense to keep an account open so far away.
