That is very strange. I had the exact opposite problem. When I deposited a check to **ase bank, it was sent to collection and took 6 weeks just to for them notify that they couldn't clear the check because they could not verify the payment source. But with B-0-a, I had no problems with 10+ checks. The only difference between two banks for me was that I've been a customer for B-0-a for many years while I was relatively a new customer at **ase bank. So my conclusion was that it maybe has to do with your history/credibility at the bank. But now, I am not so sure anymore. Maybe it is different for each branch.

I believe you need a bank to deposit the check. However, there are a few ways going around this. I won't post it here because I am not sure of the legality of it. HINT is have a friend/family member help you.

My experience also. Pursue = Hold, 'Merica = Clear. The hold does eventually clear though. That said, I've found the best luck with Stage Coach. Never get a hold...though you do have to pay $1.50/check.

The checks can not be cashed. They need to be deposited into a bank account.

I am sure this has been answered somewhere in the thread but I was not able to find searching for it. I have requested three checks two yesterday and one today for the max $3k withdrawal. The two from yesterday have already been approved and I just requested the other one minutes ago. Will the two that were approved yesterday be sent at the same time or will they stagger payment so I only get one check a week? If they only do one check a week does anyone know about other methods of withdrawal to pull more money than the allotted checks per month for US player?

Ive been playing on bodog/bovada for 5 years. The last 3 ive been doing western union withdrawals. I've never recieved a check. The Last time i got a western union withdrawal was in october for 1000. 2 days ago i requested one and i just found out today im not eligible to do western union anymore because of a new policy and they changed my withdrawal to check and im supposed to get it tommorow. Problem is I've basically closed an bank account with everybank in my area and have no current bank accounts. This is the reason i never get checks. What can I do to have the cash tommorow?

I requested my transfer on a saturday and got it on a tuesday, cashed same day for about 2400

So I could not cash it at Wally World...and I don't understand it, if its a check why cant I cash it...does not make sense to me

Quite a dilemma you have, imo and if it were me, I would try cashing checks at a lesser used check cashing establishment, like a locally owned convenient store. I am referring to stores that at least in my area, are owned by people of Middle eastern descent. They sell food they cook in-store, lottery tickets, cash checks, etc and would likely have little issue with cashing a check with the proper ID.

These checks bounce from time to time.

If you bounce a check at a check cashing place its not a good situation for you.

Thats assuming any place would give a random stranger cash for what they most likely perceive as a shady looking foreign check.

My check is coming in from the east, lost like it originated in Singapore. Anyone have problems with these clearing recently?

I've had no problem with these. In fact, I like these more than the ones from north.

I dunno if you are using the web cashier or the one in the actual GUI, but use the one from the web. I find the cashier in the GUI will fail for both deposits and withdrawals.

I have had similar results with the cashier. Web works anytime GUI is down.

I requested a $6000 payout on Bovada via bankwire on 2/26, got it approved on 3/4 and I still haven't received it yet (3/28). Everytime I call they say that they'll get back to me with an update in 48 hours which was last week and still no update. I sent them my bank statement showing I haven't received the funds.
Has anyone done a bankwire and received the funds? How long did it take? Is this normal? I've done several smaller payouts with checks but I thought this method would be more secure and quicker... Apparently not.
Any suggestions on what I should do? I don't like the waiting game.

Why I cannot get a Bank Account is irrelavent, and does not matter...but if you must know I got caught up in some fraudulent checks a few years back and most likely would not be able to open a bank account

If you have any non criminal friends, you might be able to sign the check over to them and have them deposit it.

Based on this thread, had you read any of the last few pages, it seems like bank wires are the most random in terms of time frames. Some people have gotten them quickly, others after a few months. I think everyone has gotten their money eventually but the time frame for bank wires is the least reliable.

Well this thread has been of no help to me at all. I guess I am just going to go to a check cashing place or wells fargo and tell them I have a check from bovada poker that I need to cash that I won from online poker...since I cannot get no info on here

First - Poker is not going to end well for you if you're not responsible enough to be allowed to obtain a checking account.

Dude you have issues and where to cash this check is the least of them. Get your life in order. Get a job. Have some respect for yourself. The last thing we need in the poker community is another roach.

Thank McLeod! I've looked through and noticed people have made transfers thought it could be a rapid transfers they offer wasn't sure. I just wanted to be clear. I can finally easy my mind on this bankwire. Thanks for the peice of mind.
