I'd scroll back through this thread, but I'm pretty sure WU has slow down some, as of late. MG, if an option for you, is lightning fast and cheaper. Also, checks are coming in just a few days.

I did MG for a long time, and then out of no where they started cancelling my MG cashouts and switching them to WU... I miss the old days..

How did you get Bovada to approve your account for bank wire? When I called once, the customer service rep suggested I do wire transfer instead of checks because it is faster. I then emailed them to inquire why I did not have that option in the client and they told me I could not do a wire because I did not deposit that way.

I then called to say WTF, and they told me I don't want to do a wire anyway because it takes at least 4 weeks.

???

You're better off with checks right now, then.

Wow that's horrible. I live in NY and that is where my account is setup for and everything, but ill be Indiana for the next few months at least. Does anyone know if this will prevent me from being able to pick up WU around here, or do I specifically have to be in NY to pick it up.

Have a check from the North I attempted to deposit at two different ATMs (one was green the other red) and both rejected the deposit. Gonna try with a teller today.

Is this some kind of sick joke with the updated WU fees?!?! Used to be 40$ for a 250-500 range cashout (which was already too big) and now it almost doubled to a 75$ fee for that range?!?!

No, not a a joke. Use MG or check for withdraws, if an option for you.

Weird Bovada withdrawal problem:

I had one of those no routing number checks from Bovada somehow get lost at my bank. My bank recommended I get it reissued. I decided to just go ahead and eat the $40 stop-payment fee and get another one. However, Bovada informs me the check was deposited at a date around two weeks after I gave it to my bank. Presumably the assclowns at my bank deposited the money in some random account somewhere. For Bovada to help me out I need to give them documentation from my bank that they lost the check.

Is my bank entitled to know who I received the check from? Obviously I don't want to mention Bovada to them at any point during this process. Has anyone been in a similar situation? How was it resolved?

Tried to deposit check from the North at ATM with fail. Took inside to the teller, and she tried to deposit with currency exchanged funds. I told her the check was already in USD. They then said they need to send out to domestic collections, and I had to fill out all these forms. They told me it would be up to 14 business days for the deposit to clear.

Anyone have similar hassle experience? I'm unfamiliar with the internal procedures with banks, but the teller and manager seemed rather incompetent.

Any insights would be nice, thanks.

This is very common, especially at smaller banks. If you plan on cashing out via check, often, find a new bank.

Thanks. Yeah I can picture something like this at a small bank, not a big one.

Do banks ever charge fees with these checks? b/c it is from a non-us bank or if it goes to collections or any other reason?

They just sent me an email and they are charging me $40 for a stop payment?

They sent me a non negotiable check and they want to charge me a fee? Has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah , they wont go through the atm, because of the gap at the bottom of the check in the middle of the account number. Use the teller, but if they ask you DO NOT TELL them where it is from. The good news is that ive gotten my past two checks in 4 days, the bad news is that the teller and bank manager seem a little leary, either way I'm not paying the ridicuolus Western Union fees.

Review the last couple pages of this thread. People are reporting receiving them in under 24 hours.
