This 30 plus day wait for a check is beyond unacceptable.
Why? I don't understand why everyone's bitching so much about this. It's annoying, but it's not as though they're Netellering us. I don't run a business but I'm guessing that in the Real World, if I charge a big client for something, I'm not going to necessarily get their check the next day, or even necessarily in the next week.
Until the UIGEA gets repealed or neutered, this is the way life is going to be with a site that also takes sportsbets. C'est la vie.
At what point would it be unacceptable with you? Is two or three months waiting just fine, how about 6 months??
Are you French?
I think that was the PR dept for Bodog. Apparently the best check processor they could find wanted to charge a high payout fee, since they are a sportsbook, then gave them an cheaper option where they can hold our funds for 30 days and make 30 days of interest on our money at a lower fee.
Yep, you're on to me. I registered several years ago and have made about 4200 posts with the sole objective of leaping to Bodog's defense at this exact moment in time.
I'll ignore the truly bizarre "Are you French?" comment and just say that there are many, many poker sites out there willing to take our business, and if it's more important to you that you get your money in a week instead of a month, knock yourself out.
Frankly, getting your panties in a bunch over getting your cash 2-3 weeks later than you'd like seems counterproductive and a waste of energy. A little perspective is probably in order. I would reserve a phrase like "beyond unacceptable" for stuff like finding out you have terminal cancer but your health insurance won't pay for treatment. (Bet you'd wish you were French then, eh?)
A short delay in getting $$ sent . . . annoying, yes. "Beyond unacceptable," not so much.
If it were a 6-month delay, that phraseology would probably be more reasonable.
