do NOT attempt to cash a Bovada check at any sort of check cashing business or similar offerings like at Walmart or a supermarket....as others have mentioned the check will come with a nice friendly letter that explicitly warns against attempting to "cash" the check; it requires being deposited into an account of some sort.
if you're using a larger big-name national bank there should be no additional fees or holds, nor any issues with them accepting the check(either through ATM or inside with a teller as long as you don't mention poker/gaming/gambling)....and FYI, the funds should be completely cleared and available in full by the next business day or two obv depending on how late you deposit it etc.
you need to find a way to deposit the check into an account of some sort...there isn't a way around this besides asking Bovada to cancel the check and send your payout through another method like Western Union.
