Hi all,

Thinking of starting a bodog account. I can't read a 1000 post thread from the start, so could someone give me quick rundown on if you can withdraw from them these days? TIA.

Youll need to deposit via money gram or rapid transfer to insure the best withdrawl method.

I'm thinking about depositing on Bodog but want to make sure I can get my money out later - is this "Rapid Transfer" another name for Western Union/Moneygram, or is it something else entirely?

Rapid transfer and Western Union/Moneygram are 2 different depositing methods.

So what exactly is Rapid Transfer, then? How do you deposit with it?

Personally, I've never heard of it outside a Bodog context.

So "Rapid Transfer" is simply Bodog's name for MG, then?

Sign into Bodog. Click on Deposit. Click on Rapid Transfer. Follow the instructions on the webpage.

Basically, they give you a few piece of information to write down. You go to a Walmart or anywhere that accepts Money Gram and you fill out a form and pay a small fee. If you deposit more than $200, Bodog will cover the fee for you and put the money in your bodog account. Probably takes a day at most for the money to hit your account.

I tried to cash out via Western Union, but they processed it by check. I think it was July 3rd. I emailed them and they said 40 business days. Now I need to go deposit via Western Union so that I can cash out some more. Such a hassle. Thanks land of the free!

CNBC.com interview with CEO of Morris Mohawk Gaming, Alwyn Morris about the payout issue.

Doubt there's any real news from the interview, but seems some media are looking into it.

I am opening a Bodog account, just want to make sure I have all the facts:

-In order to withdraw WU or MG, you have to deposit that way also? Will either withdrawal method work if you deposit with a debit card?
-What are the fees to deposit and withdraw?
-Someone earlier in the thread said Bodog will refund the deposit fee if you use Moneygram. Is this standard for all MG deposits?

Thanks in advance.

be careful with wire transfers

i got a large one from bodog about 2 months ago, went to withdraw some money last night to see a movie and the machine ate my card and the screen said account locked, go see a teller. since it was almost midnight had to wait til the morning.

so i went this morning when they opened at 7 and i spent 30 minutes sitting there getting interrogated by 5 different employees about the nature of the transaction. i've gotten a couple wires from sportsbooks, but it was obviously the bodog one because the amount they said matched up.

i just told them it was from consulting, eventually they freed the funds, but they said if I'm expecting any international wire transfers they will be held and investigated before clearing to my account. They said that the account that transferred me the money was involved in illegal money laundering. I think it helped that I have a lot of money invested with the bank and I had my home mortgage through them until I paid it off that they freed it and gave me my money. They also lost my card somehow so now i need to wait 2 weeks for a new one
