Good stuff Mel.

Those are good updates as you had an issue and it seems to be getting resolved.

Requested Rapid Transfer: 4/20
Approved: 4/21

First time withdrawing. E-mailed Bovada for update and they told me that they are mailing me a check not sending me a MoneyGram or WU. Is there any way to actually choose a WU or MG withdrawal? Or is it just whatever bovada feels like giving you?

Payout Requested 4/7 via Check
Sent 4/18
Received 4/22

Deposited yesterday via mobile banking app and the check has gone through. I guess I'll give it a few days before I get too excited, but it's in my posted transactions and not pending. I got an email confirming it was processed as well. I'm surprised with where the check came from. It certainly was a bit sketchy looking.. :-/

I have made a withdraw from WU 3 weeks ago. Literally 48 hours later I had a name and control number and drove to my local grocery store and had the money in 3 minutes.

On a side note ... Why does it. Say don't post your bank? It Bovada is "legal" why are they so shady? Same thing when you call they say don't mention it.

From what I experience very fast with WU. And there is NO fee if its your first time per month. After that there is a fee chart posted on their payout section in the software.

Im pretty sure there IS a fee for cashing out with wu whether its your first cashout of the month or 4th. For checks there is no fee for the first one of the month though and its $50 for each addtional check per month.

Is there any way to actually choose WU or MG as a withdrawal? I tried using the rapid transfer withdrawal option and they told me they are sending me a check.... If I wanted a check I would have selected check. I think it's pretty lame that they let you select any option to withdraw. But just send you a check anyway. Is there any way around this? I would really like to get some cash in ~48 hours and that seems to be the norm for WU/MG withdrawals.

If you havent deposited using wu or mg, then it will be difficult to get them to let you use it for withdrawl. I did read in this thread awhile back, a guy say that he told bovada that he had trouble cashing their checks multiple times and asked them to allow him to use wu to cashout even though he never dep with wu and supposedly they allowed him to do it.

I get WU as withdraw. I have been doing it since DEC of last year when a bad batch of checks went out. During that time I was sent two diff bad checks. When about to request my 3rd a cust rep advised me that it was a new policy that said that a customer could do WU even without depositing via that method. I asked him is this just for me or can anyone do it? Whether it was true I was told that it was for everyone.

I proceeded then to this forum letting people know they could do it..Most people around that time said they called and where able to....Then all the sudden about a month ago..most people started getting put back to check if they hadn't deposited via WU....So I can assume they opened it for awhile because of problems with processors then closed it a few months later when it was resolved....

I requested a WU about 3 weeks ago it was about my 8th one. and it was processed as check. I called in and said that I was told I could do it regardless of deposit and they checked and reprocessed it WU...every since then I have still gotten WU...Don't know if there is anyone else though that hasnt ever deposited with it...

Bovada has taken away all my cash out options as I am from one of the bad States that they wont send checks and had problems after cashing out from Western Union. Since I had problems with Western Union they took away Money Gram as well.

Does anyone live in one of the States they wont send checks and had it sent to an address out of state. Then forwarded the check to your home state to cash where they wont send the check?

Well for all of you wondering about depositing money on this site, save yourself the trouble and don't do it. I like many of you loved to play on pokerstars and spent a lot of time since April 2011 of trying to find a site to play on and thought I had found one for the time being with Bovada, but their customer support is horrible. They send me emails in broken English and when you call their numbers all you get is Indian people with such thick accents you cant even understand 50% of what they say. Now, none of that aside, they have bounched my last 2 checks. The worst part is that I deposited the check at my banks atm on march 20th and on April 19th, my bank informed me that the check had been returned. I called them up to talk about this and they said I needed to fax or email them a copy of the returned check, which I did on two occasions and both times, even after receiving a fax confirmation that it was sent and received successfully to the number they gave me, they told me they weren't able to located or retrieve the faxes. THis happened on 2 different occasions. So I had to spend more time with my bank having them send me the actual physical copy of the check for me to scan and email to them. I did this and its been over 48 hrs and when I called them today in addition to the lady not being able to speak 25% English, They finally said yes we recievd the check but it will be up to 48 hours before we can verify this and being the process of returning the money. Its been over a week now and I have been more than compliant with their requests but they won't refund my money even though there is rock solid evidence that the check bounced or wasn't a good check. They said they have to have certain numbers of the check before they will start the process of refunding my money even though the guy told me that he could see from his end that the check had not been honored. How much sense does that make? They know they issued me a bad check, but won't refund the money to my account or issue another check. In the meantime, I had cashed out another check that I received 2 days before my bank had returned the check from march 20, and I deposited it like normal but im expecting this check to bounce as well as it looked identical except for the date and amount difference to the check that bounced on March 20. They hide the nature of their deposits using a visa with some weird website names or product names which = money laundering and bank fraud in the simplest terms. The poker players on the site were rather poor quality which made making money rather easy, but when you cant even count on the money to actually be money, it takes the shine of of playing the game. I played on pokerstars for 7 years and never had but one issue with a cashout and they not only refunded me the cashout amt but they gave me like 20% bonus for my troubles, something I am not expecting bovada to do at all. I am just one person and my opinion may be biased, but I signed up to bovada with an open mind and ignored some of the posts I read on the internet about the cashouts but with internet poker, the cashout is the most important part of a websites design, it makes everything else operate, and when you cant even rely on that, it makes you just turning out to be wasting your time and money. It was also really funny the guy told me when if irst called about the bounched check, hey its ok, you have cashed out from us before and know its gonna be good, and I was like "yea that was back in 2007" under bodog when you guys could actually send a check from an American bank and not have to hide your origins of your funds. So be warned

check payout requested - 4-15-13
approved - 4-16
Arrived - still waiting

MG requested - 4-22
MG approved - still waiting

Is this common for the approval to take so long?

For the check yes but for the MG many times you'd have the control number by now. You could wait another day or two or just call them and ask for an update.

Any site that employs those dirty Indians will never get my money.

Those people cant even speak their second and third languages without an accent.

They act like they are in another country or something.

Sieg heil !!!!!!!!!!!!!

To the guy that wrote a wall of text, I got them to credit my account for a bounced check with one email and a letter from my bank (without the actual check attached). Seems like you hit the lower end of variance on this one.

UPDATE
Requested 3/15/13
Approved 3/15/13
Tracking 3/26/13
Recieved 3/27/13
Deposited throught ATM 3-27-13
Account Closed 4/18/13
Cashiers check rec. by mail 4/26/13

After much arguing and fighting with my bank i finally receieved a cashiers check from them for the 3000 deposit i made with a bovada check. They closed the account due to suspicious activity and after telling the check was not related to any account they finally figured out how to cash it and i just now today received the money. Although it was not bovadas fault it took so long i still am hestitaent to begin playing with them again due to the hassle cashing the check caused me. I had to open a new account with a new bank and waited 41 days from req to the day i actually have the money in hand. As bad experience as it was i do not blame bovada at all and would reccomend them however be careful cashing the checks because some banks may be very werid about it. Hope this update helps someone have a little confidence!
