I created this account just to inform everyone of this....

I have never made a WU deposit and have done 2 successful withdraws in the last month.

I had two checks bounce, The first time it happened they requested another check right away and said they over nighted it and I had replacement check within 48 hours. The second time it happened they said they could just credit it back to my account and I would have to wait 10 business days like a reg check.

I then spoke to a rep that said there was a new policy that I could withdraw via money transfer for fee and it would only be 3 business days.

This is not my first time with bovada. So my response was "are you sure I dont have to have had deposited via WU to withdraw by it" and he assured me That it was a new thing and that I could withdraw by that methed NO MATTER WHAT.

At first I was skeptical by I gave it a try. And sure enough it went through without a hitch. I have also requested another WU that was given to me today. so LONG STORY SHORT....Either they gave it to me out of the blue...because I have NEVER depisited that way..or ANY one can do it now..they just didnt want to tell every one so 10,000 people use that method....

I would call in and ask about it..I bet you are able to use WU withdraw now and you dont even know it!!! hope this helps!!

Or it could be that He didn't even need to do the Deposit to unlock the withdraw option...and that's why it happened so fast....I have NEVER deposited WU but can pick it up...

I highly doubt they just love me and wanted to please just me...so my only assumption is that everyone can do it now and that no body knows because they hadn't been able to in the past.....

Can anyone else confirm they have WU cashouts without ever depositing with that method?

I never understood why they wouldnt let everyone use it anyway without depositing with WU because the fees are so high it makes ****load of money for the site especially since the limit is 1 a week and 2k max withdrawal.

Especially since they overnighted you another check within 48 hours of it bouncing and now are letting you do fast WU withdrawals. What a bad company you are dealing with.

In the email That I get when I receive the WU senders Info it says that you must pick up in the city/state that is on your bovada account. Whether or not that is true I have no idea....

Well since you are so smug and love them, you obviously either never cash out. or have never had your checks bounce at all.....good for you.

FYI. I never said they where a bad company.... you did. sarcastically. Insinuating that I was bashing them.. All i was saying was that I got bad checks so why would I not want to help someone else that might have to wait 15 days for a bad check by giving them info that might help them avoid that. Just cause you have never had it happen to you doesn't mean it wont help someone....

If you do not have anything intelligent to say when you respond to a comment ...why do it??? If you want to chat with people go to aol in 1995.

I made this account just to confirm what bettypotz said about requesting direct payment. After reading his post, I emailed Bovada about my options to use direct payment/WU. Got an email back saying the option was available to me. I called them and voila, I'm expecting a check from them. It cost $80 on their sliding scale, but as long as I can get this before Christmas, that's just fine with me. Also, I have never deposited using WU. Always deposited with CC.

So, those who are having issues might want to look into this.

I wanna thank bettypotz for the heads up. My last check is still in collections and it's been over a month. I've always been with Bovada, and never had issues with past checks, so I was getting really frustrated and checking this thread often.

Bettyp:

Thanks for your contributions. Very informative. There are some here who don't hesitate to slam others when they dare utter a negative word about Bovada. I was told to shut up when I expressed concern about bouncing checks.

And all the people who thought they needed to deposit WU to withdraw WU....

two trolls responded to me right away with sarcasm..like i didn't just give them the best bovada news in the last 6 months!! hahahaha

This is concerning... Just when I thought things were getting better. What did Bovada say they were going to do about this when you contacted them?

your welcome. I have a feeling tons of people will be happy when they find out you do not have to make a wu deposit any more to get wu withdraw.....

If you dont mind paying the high fee and/or have gotten bad checks you def should be doing it...

Can you explain WU?

On Bovada's site, I see money transfer and rapid transfer.

What is the difference between the two?

The latter has smaller fees.

I have deposited via MoneyGram in the past. Can I get funds that way?

I see no mention of WU on their site.

I deposited my check on the 30th. So far, so good. No news is good news!

But I did read someone deposited on the 28th and it bounced today!

mel-

The money transfer option is the only one I know for sure is the WU. I allways assumed both are WU, but I have only used the "money transfer" option on bovada. So I can verify that you will be good if you choose that one.....

Also just as a heads up. One of my checks had been in my account for 35 days before it was withdrawn back out of my account....

Betty:

How could they both be WU when the fees are not the same?

So far, never had a problem with their checks.

If all is well on Friday (3 weeks), I think it is still a very high probability that it went thru okay.

If so, I guess I'll just request another check.

Just a heads up that I received a check from up north Nov 11th, was deposited via teller the next day, instantly received funds (from the bank). Check bounced this past Friday. Received a letter from my bank along with the check and reason for return was: "Funds Frozen". Would these frozen funds refer to where the check is coming from or regarding my account? I haven't contacted the bank yet as I just received the notice today. Check had a routing number of 9 digits beginning with 000. The "flimsy up north check", as you will.

I contacted Bovada CS and he pretended like wasn't sure what happened but told me to contact the verifications unit with a scan of the rejected check as well as my account number. Now I play the waiting game.
