[Bodog] Bovada/Ignition payout thread for US players (DO NOT post bank names) - Page 299 - Online Poker Sites -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

This same batch bounced for me. I am surprised more have not come forward. The issue is that the check was not in US FUNDS. All of the previous checks that have come through were in US funds. This caused the checks to be returned. I called Bovada CS and have been back to my bank. It appears to be an issue with the way the bank processes the check. It needs to be run through their "international" department and not just deposited over the counter in the standard way. I am optimistic that this will work but we will see.

On a related issue, the check is not is US funds so there is a conversion rate into US dollars from the foreign currency. This cost me a little over 100 bucks on 3000. I could not for the life of me get customer service to understand this and I am still in the process of trying to get reimbursed. It is annoying and hopefully future checks will not be in a foreign currency.

Are these checks that bounced ***martz from up north? Curious because i just received one and am now leary about cashing it.

I'm in the same boat as you. They gave me a tracking number this week and I even tried calling fedex, who said they only have the printed label so far, no package. Fedex website said estimated to deliver today. Bovada rep said to try back on fed ex website tomorrow for update info.

Yes. I think all the current checks are for now anyway. I haven't seen one from the east for a few months. I don't think there is much option. You just take it in and deposit it. I don't think the ATMs will recognize the checks so inside is pretty likely to be needed. Just point out to the teller if it is not in US funds so it can go through the proper channel or get ready to play basketball with it. I would bet there are a bunch of people who have bounced the most recent checks and not realized it yet since it gets mailed back to you via standard snail mail.

So far my redeposit seems to have worked. Fingers crossed.

Can anyone/everyone please PM me the names of the banks that have been working for you without problems as well as the banks that are a no-no. I had a problem receiving a wire from bovada and now finally got them to send me a check.... Problem is, the rep thought he was doing me a favor by combining 3 cash outs in to one, and I truly do appreciate where his heart was on that, but now the check is well over $5000 and being in the finance industry, I know it's gonna raise a flag. Just want to prepare myself so I can get this to go smooth as possible and FINALLY get my money!

Sorry, I went through last 5 pages but couldn't find anything regarding NY'ers. Way too lazy to keep digging. Any people on here from NY cash out from Bovada? If so, how'd it go?

I was on the phone with customer service and they assured me that I can deposit and withdraw using Rapid Transfer. I feel good about being able to deposit fairly easily. But I'm worried about getting money off the site after I bink the Sunday 100k.

Any helpful information from NY players would be greatly appreciated.

3 options are Credit Card/Rapid Transfer which = payouts by check

Money Transfer = payouts by Money Transfer

Which payout time is quicker? Is the money transfer option Western Union? Thanks!

Story with my latest check (from up north) so far:

Check for 3k.
approved on 10/23
received on 11/14 or so
deposited 11/15

Returned unpaid after attempt at deposit at ATM for the reason: Signature irregular. Have tried going to the teller, they said I should contact the maker of the check and if I try to deposit it again, it is likely to be returned unpaid again..

Btw, maker of the check initials G E C.

Did anyone have similar issues?
Also, Is it possible to just cash this check at non bank location (given it is from up north)?

Requested a check for $3k on 10/15. I recieved anddeposited it via ATM on 11/1. It cleared within two or three days. Today I check my bank account online and there is a hold for $3k on my account.

I'm planning to call Bovada tomorrow and ask about it. I've never any problems with checks from Bodog or Bovada before so I'd appreciate hearing about anyone else's experience and/or advice.

No info from FedEx no Info from Bovada yet... not liking some of these posts now...

had 2 checks back in august, one took 3 weeks exactly and the other took only 1 week exactly... went into the bank to deposit/cash and was able to receive half the funds from each check up front and had no problems, the checks cleared the next day... so here is to optimism...

My Bovada check for $2000 bounced on Nov 20th.....

Deposited it on Nov 5th.

Reason for bounce. My bank says "account closed" from the account Bovada used to send me the check.

Check was from "State Bank Of In*** (Canada)" From "Bram***" Canada

Called Bovada today. They asked me to fax them a copy of the "bad" check and "they would look into it."

Said "it could take 24-48 hours" to get me an answer.

This is BAD business Bovada. BAD

I guess you weren't aware that online poker and sports betting are under assault by the DOJ. These things are going to happen. It would be bad business if Bovada doesn't make good on the problem, but, so far, I believe they have eventually always done the right thing.
