. What's the alternative? Checks are going to be faster on bovada than anywhere else

Cashed out using western union because that's my only option in NY and received straight cash money in a few days.

You have to have deposited with western union as your main form of deposits or they will revert your payout back to your initial form of payment and they charge roughly $60 on every $800. $800 is the max cashout.

Problem with bodog check.

I received a check from Bodog around the 2/16 and deposited in my credit union ATM like I usually do.

Received a letter from my bank saying "this letter is to notify you that the payment of this check was denied. . ."

I said to bodog: "Hi, I received a check from you guys about a week and deposited it into
my ATM as I usually do.

Today I got a letter from my bank stating that the check was no good and
I have 5 days to repay them the money, plus a fee.

I have enclosed a scan of the letter they sent me with the copy of the
check they sent back."

They said to me:
"Kindly note that after reviewing the documents that you have submitted, we were not able to find the stamped reason on why the bank is not accepting your check. Most likely, they are just refusing your check.

Please note that your payment still is good to be cashed and with this in mind, we would like to take opportunity to ask if you have an alternate bank account at a larger bank as Credit Unions don't know how to deal with international checks. If you do not have any other bank accounts, we kindly ask that you confirm with your bank the main reason why they are not allowing you to cash or deposit the check. Once you have the information, please send us the copy of the check with the stamped reason on it. "

I said
"I have deposited checks in this account for years, several from your
site, with no problems in the past. In any case, they have not returned
the check to me, I have only been given a photocopy. Can't you please
cancel this check and issue me payment some other way? "

They said
"In regard to your inquiry, kindly note that as per payouts department policies, we do not have another way for you to receive your funds.

Please note that we do need to see the copy of that check with the reason why your back is not taking it.

Kindly note that if you cancel this payout, a fee of $40 dollars will be charge and the delivery will take an estimated time frame of 15 business days."

I called my credit union today, and they said that the check was refused for "refer to maker" and they couldn't tell why that was. They told me they would not send the check back to me that they were going to destroy it, but the bank it was from would send me a copy I could redeposit. This of course seems impossible to me, since that bank doesn't have my information other than my name.

Anybody got any advice?

I've read before on here that depositing their checks (namely the ones that are drawn from a foreign place) into some bank's ATM's will not go through, and that you actually have to go into the store or branch to deposit it. This might not be the case for you as it just seems like it bounced, but it's worth checking out - and also noting in here again just so people know.

Finally received wire credit today. Problem is both wires I have pending were for same amount, so I don't know if it's the long lost one from Jan 8 or the Jan 28 request.

What the hell...tell your bank to suck a fat one and that need a copy of the check from them with refer to maker stamped on it.

I had a similar problem in December. You have 2 options, try to deposit the check at another bank or go the stop payment route. I got a stop payment and the money was back in my poker account 12 days later.

Did credit union make the funds available and you spent some?

Yeah, I've had a great relationship with my credit union and they've always had my funds available next day. I've deposited six figures worth of poker checks through this credit union, at least a dozen from bodog alone.

They debited the amount from my account plus a fee now, but are still refusing to give the check. The copy of the check that they sent me has no stamp on it, so that's why bodog says they won't pay me.

Getting the runaround on both sides.

I've spent a while on the phone with them and they don't seem to want to help, they don't understand why I can't just call the people I'm doing business with and get them to send me a new check, why I would need proof, since they can obviously just cancel the check or check their account and see it wasn't cashed (which obviously bodog isn't the actual supplier of the check.)

Obviously not mentioning its gambling related, but it already sounds sketchy.

Can you please send me a PM with your account details so I can ask a senior CS manager to look into this for you? Also, can you indicate where you are located so I can speak with the correct Bodog Brand licensee? If you're in the US I'll be happy to pass on your information to a contact I have at Bovada.

Thanks!
Becky

Becky,

I want to cash out via RapidTransfer/WU on Bovada but they won't let me due to not depositing using that method. I find this ridiculous because I've cashed out using this method on a bunch of other sites without depositing. Anything you can do?

I think if you deposit the most money to them through western union then that option becomes available to you. So you either need to start depositing through western union and more than you did the other payment method to change it over.

Yeah, I deposited using a VISA. Why wouldn't they just let me use the method though, I didn't deposit by sending a check through the mail and they still are sending me checks. It is so ridiculous.

I requested two checks in late January/early February, about two weeks apart. It took about three weeks on both checks from the date I requested the withdrawal until I received a tracking number.

I deposited the first check via ATM a couple weeks back. Earlier this week I got a letter in the mail from my bank. Oh great, here's my bounced Bodog check coming back. I open the envelope and sure enough, the funds have been reversed. The reason? "Post dated check". I look at the check and the date was written in DD/MM/YYYY format (clearly stated on the check). So the teller who processed the check read the date as September 02, 2012 instead of February 9, 2012, and reversed the funds. Egads.

In the meantime my 2nd check was finally left at my house today on its third and final attempt from FedEx. On the second attempt, the FedEx guy left me a doortag requesting signature. He left it approximately six inches from the first doortag he left me three days earlier, stuck on my door in plain sight with my signature on it.

So off to the ATM I go, but I don't have alot of faith that these checks are going to go through.....

Yes, the teller is an idiot. I just meant that based on how it's going so far with these checks, I expect something else to go wrong.

I dare someone to top this. I am still waiting on a wire from Jan 2, and was PROMISED by support that I would get it by last week or early this week since the wire was actually never processed! Today, I email them saying I never got the money and they are asking for a running statement. This will be the 4th time I have to send in a running statement to show I never got the money. I am going nowhere with this and every time I ask where is money, they say to wait and see what their payouts dept is doing. This is so sick.

I did ask for that so that I can request a check. They asked me to send in a running statement again today, so it should take about another 2 weeks to hear an update on the wire they reprocessed. I have said that this wire will never get to me, but they haven't offered any other alternative as of today. The whole process of proving I never got it and waiting to see what happens next is where I'm at right now. Becky has gotten me in contact with a rep there, but I haven't heard back from the rep in 2 days after telling her I still didn't get my money yet.
