So I copy pasted an address from Blockchain to Bovada account for withdrawal.
That address is long gone on Blockchain tho. Now its generated a new one.
That initial address that I gave to Bovada for the cashout, is it sure to find me?

True but that answer implies there is zero tax liability associated from investment gains. The difference between earned and unearned income may be lost on the OP assuming the inquiry is likely related to general tax liability. It's all about an individual's specific circumstances.

This is not the thread for this topic, however, additional (important info) was needed there because an incomplete/potentially misleading answer was provided to a question that shouldn't have been asked here.

Bottom line: Do your own research on taxes. That's between an individual and the tax man.

Anyone having any problems w BP card? The above is from Nov 21 .. haven't really seen any other posts with BP issues.

Just wanna gauge if the above is a one-off or if any issues do exist with BP. Haven't used BP since late Sept but am looking to use it now.

From a fees perspective it would seem litecoin would save the sites and players a ton in fees. Unless its market cap also hits a half trillion then who knows .. I'm just speculating of course.

But on your first point, as I understand it (and have experienced) the amount you withdraw from Ign/Bov is the amount they'll send and the amount you'll receive. They pick up the miner's fees on the withdrawal (right?). On my last withdrawal I received the amount I withdrew (within a dollar). I believe if you're depositing then obv it's the player picking up the miner's fee, which varies literally second to second.

Also the fee shown in that moment that you're looking to send (like the $13 in your example) is the auto-populated, recommended miner's fee generated by your wallet (based on current network congestion I suppose). That amount can be customized to a lower sat/b but it might not go through until the next block or whatever. Depends on your rush tolerance at this point.

But yea, the point is that the fees and real-time transaction times are absurd and are making BTC very difficult to use functionally .. a complete deviation from it's original purpose. It's become a speculative investing bubble the size of which we haven't yet seen in the era where literally everyone has a smartphone, a trading app with a very user-friendly interface, and an appetite to get rich quick.

If your post was also your little attempt to drive the price of litecoin up then kudos I guess.

LC looks like it's doing just fine lately without the shilling on 2p2 . But yeah, the BTC fees are pretty lame.

Today something very disgusting happened to me... after successfully 03 deposits to my Bodog acount days ago, today it was debited from my bank account and it was not deposited to my Bodog* account.

I sent the bank statement to service@bodog.eu, as instructed in the live chat, waiting for a response...

Anyone had this issue already?

Brazil player here..

Cashed out 12/12
Received 12/13
Total time: 28 hours

Sent from BlockC to BitPay Card
Took 11 minutes without using the high mining fee

Had cashed out $400
BlockC > BitPay fee: $6
BitPay fee: $16
Received: $378

That seems atrocious. Definitely going to look into LC.

I personally stopped using BitPay after they added their administrative fee. Unless I would desperately need the money that day, I send it to GDAX and sell it from there. My last like 15 cashouts+ have shown up in my bank account the next business day. But yeah, I try and send my bitcoins late at night when the traffic is way down and the fees are lower. Still too high for my tastes though.

as others said above, these bitcoin transaction fees are ridiculous right now. It doesn't effect you on withdraws because the cashout amount is always the same you receive. But right now to make a deposit, the bitcoin fee from my wallet is 21$!!! It is great that ignition has moved to bitcoin deposit/withdraw , but they need to keep up with the changing times and add another option for deposits. I see they have bitcoin cash, which def has low fees, but it is not automated and says its only available from 9 am -4 pm. and you need to call them to do it all..which is a pain in the ass. anyways just venting about these btc fees, its too bulky and heavy. There are so many other faster and lower transaction fees coins available.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be trying a small withdrawal when the three days are up. Will provide a tr!

Last Bitpay transaction for me was late Sept. I don't recall any unusual fees from that transaction .. wonder when this admin fee went into effect. BP card was incredible for quickly getting access to your withdrawal (depending on amount) - seems it may not be so much anymore...?

I have a couple question about this process. Is GDAX part of CB, or is it separate? If it's part of CB, then I assume you're moving from wallet > CB > GDAX. If it's separate, then you're moving from wallet > GDAX directly?

I know CB has a 1.5% exchange fee .. are you using GDAX because the fee is lower?

I currently have a little bit of BTC on CB that I'm looking to test out an exchange (avoiding BP card, it's all I've ever used). If GDAX has a lower exhange rate then obv I'd be looking to utilize that. Any information appreciated.

Good tip
gdax is part of coinbase. you can send USD/BTC/ETH/LTC to/from coinbase/gdax instantly and for free. screw coinbases fees learn how to use gdax its really simple. coinbase exchange rate fees are 1.5% and gdax is 0.25%. def worth it to use gdax. good luck.

There was a hard fork of the blockchain creating 2 separate coins (Bitcoin core and Bitcoin cash), if you held bitcoin at the time of the fork you got an equal amount of both. 1 BCH is currently worth ~$2k

Bitpay just sent me an email saying beginning Dec 26 they will only accept bitcoin transfers from wallets that have Payment Protocol. Bitpay is saying that Blockchain wallet does not have Payment Protocol. So which of these wallets listed below should I use so that my Ignition transfers don't get traced to Bitpay -

"BitPay recommends using a bitcoin wallet that you can trust to successfully use for bitcoin payments. Below is a list of reliable bitcoin wallets:
BitPay Wallet
Copay Wallet
Mycelium Wallet
Electrum Wallet
Bitcoin Core Wallet"
