You should have sent it to your personal wallet first and not an exchange.
Good Luck.

I thought that is what I did. Sent it to blockchain and then sent it to coinbase, then transfered to account which they said should be in my account by Thursday. Is that the correct sequence?

Okay guys help would be greatly appreciated on my first bitcoin withdrawal/transfer from Bovada. I have the prior links to those youtube videos which have been a great help but I wanted to check about if I just wanted to move $1000 from Bovada to Ignition to start playing on there.

Would I just go Bovada - blockchain - Ignition?

And for the rest of the funds I would go Bovada - blockchain - coinbase - bank?

Thanks in advance!

I guess I'm apart of the bitcoin bandwagon now. I requested my first withdrawal ever from Bovada 5 hours ago. They asked for my ID and a bill. I sent both and it was approved in about 4 hours and was told "it should be sent within 15 minutes" and it already processed and posted in my wallet at blockchain.

I was then able to instantly deposit to Ignition. I feel like its 2005 all over again with how quick it went. Thanks everyone for their tips, advice, and videos. It was too easy.

I'm sorry ahead of time for this very stupid question but I'm freaking out a bit and want to make sure I did the right thing.

I just made my first withdrawal from Ignition to blockchain and got the funds. I then just made the transfer from blockchain to coinbase, but coinbase isn't showing any finds received. Is this not supposed to be immediate? If not, then how long does it take?

I'd thought it was immediate, so I'm scared that I may have sent it to the wrong address, but not sure how that could have happened because I just copy and pasted. Someone please set my mind at ease.

No, it's not immediate.

Coinbase waits for the transaction to get 3 confirmations before they credit your account. On average that should take about 30 minutes... but will be more or less due to variance.

Did you get an email from Coinbase that says "You just received ___ BTC"?

Yes, and I did just receive the funds. Sorry for the freakout.

Just made the withdrawal into my checking account, and it said it'll arrive on Wednesday.

Is the amount that it said it'll deposit into my checking locked in, or is it still vulnerable to the ups and downs of the btc market between now and Wednesday?

It definitely seems like bitpay is the way to go over coinbase. I'll def be looking into that tomorrow.

It's locked in, that's the amount you'll receive.

FYI it's practically impossible to send it to a wrong address (unless you supply them with a "wrong" address.) That is, if you were to mistype the address it wouldn't produce a valid address.

And BitPay is down right now- which is unusual- so hopefully it will be up and running for you (and everyone) by tomorrow.

Hey guys, don't post here very much but I was curious on some of your guys opinions regarding how to handle this. I had my c0inbase account locked because of my job description I basically put online business and self employed and that wasn't detailed enough for them obviously. I'm just curious what you guys reply as far as your job and what the transfers are for if they start questioning you.

I'm currently setting up a few different accounts on bitcoin exchange sites because in the past I used to just use bank wire to get my withdrawal but btc seems way faster and more convenient and I typically just used coinbase for blockchain > cb > bank.

My buddy who follows this thread more closely than I do mentioned that someone here was suggesting putting unemployed but I'm not sure how well that works if you keep receiving larger transactions.

Anyways any help and tips, advise etc is highly appreciated. Also fwiw I received 5k btc withdrawal last night within few hours of requesting it.

I recently won a farely large amount of money on Ignition. Before on Bovada I would always just have it wired to my bank account but then obvioulsy realized and was told that this is not the smartest way. I researched Bitcoin and started making deposits with it and now its cash out time.

I though you just sent it directly to coinbase from ignition....not Ignition- Blockchain - Coinbase?

Is Blockchain just not another merchant of BTC?

Greatful for any help explaining this

No, never directly between your exchange and poker site.

Blockchain.info is a bitcoin wallet. A bitcoin wallet is used to send/receive/store bitcoin.

They don't convert between BTC and USD, it's only bitcoin there.

You want to withdraw from Ignition to a new address in your bitcoin wallet, and then send from your wallet to your exchange.

Annoyed that people still use bank wire then complain when it doesn't go smoothly, when it's been stated numerous times BTC is the way to go.

Yah of course if I saw this thread beforehand would've done otherwise.
