With my Carbon check (FedEx), this was not the case. For most packages, that will work, but it specifically said on the door tag that the package was designated so that you couldn't do this. Someone actually had to be there in person to receive it, or you had to send it to a FedEx store and pick it up that way.
Never gotten a check from Bovada, so they might send their checks differently, but that's my experience with Carbon.
