Glad to see a bit more resistance about 888's rake and whatnot policy.

Their 10k freerolls actually is a nice idea for grinders;
I guess you get your ticket based upon levels you play (i.e. I get to play 47 MTTs with min 2.8$ for another two tickets, others have to play 10x 10$ Tourneys) but actually there's not many people doing this kind of grinding.

Everybody got two freeroll tickets and the first 3 Freerolls were all full with 8000 players, making a ticket worth 1.25$

but actually, player numbers are getting lower since people aren't gathering freeroll tickets that much. What's left now are heavy grinders and people who didn't spend their tickets now.

since the promo is going until Nov 2nd, there should be some juicy tournaments waiting.

Yesterday night (EU Time) there were only 3k players, making the ticket now worth 3$

The freerolls for tomorrow and the day after that only have 500-700 entries by now. I'm pretty sure it won't go over 5k anymore and so the tickets are basically getting worth more and more. I guess this is a good reason to start grinding now since the next weeks the freerolls might go down to 2k players, netting 5$ per freeroll which is a good value I guess.

Exactly what I thought. The field will be smaller day by day, but the opponents will be tougher. I only played 3 and no itm so far. I hate that the starting stack is 1500, too much gambling going on, I can't beat those luckboxes who call my 10-12 BB all in with random middle cards, and bust me form the tourney.

We'd love to hear more feedback about the daily $10,000 Freerolls on 888poker.
Let us know what you think about the Tournament Ticket mechanism and the tournaments themselves. All your input will be forwarded to our promotion and poker room managers!

Thanks

As I said, opponents WILL be tougher I believe, when all the poor fish used up their free tickets, and only those will play who can earn extra tickets.
QJ wouldn't be that bad from a deep stack, but players usually call my AQ AK preflop all ins with much worse, like 79, T5, and so on. I guess that's why I don't play mtt's, I hate to go out like that after 70-80 minutes of play.

Starting stack should be at least 2000, blind levels could be a little longer, and the payout structure should be reconsidered. The difference is too much between the 1st and 2nd place. Almost 100%, while on PS for example, the 1st gets about 30% more than the 2nd.
Ticket qualification system is fair I think.

i see that there is a lot of good table on NL20. Im using a MSS strategy, so i sit on the table with 35bb. Is there any chance to change the minimum BI on NL20 ? I wish to play there with 35bb

There's not much love for shortstackers on 2+2.
In the past there were campaigns on here to have the lowest buy-in increased. (It's bad enough that players can still buy in for 20bb at 2NL-6NL).
If you're playing the PokersStrategy MSS, you should be buying in with 40bb anyway.

the free rolls are crap, full of idiots putting there chips in every hand. My 1 dollar tourny ticket dosent cover years of rake paid.
Can i sacrifice my 1% rakeback for my table cap to be increased to 8 tables?

i love how 888 dodges all the hard questions , who really cares about a freaking freeroll? tell us what you're gonna do with your so call industry standard rake? your bull**** policy of no refunds for collusion/bots? or how about raking $5/hand at 50/100 playing headsup at 6max table?
your dumbass poker manager seem to be fine with them raking $2max at headsup table while raking $5max playing headsup at 6max table. He pretty much told me tough luck, thats our rake, deal with it.

Hey 888rep,

i used to play on 888 but can't do it any more since i moved to Gibraltar and for some reason you don't allow people living in Gibraltar to play on your site.

Obviously you don't want your staff to be playing on your own site, but what is the problem with people just living in the country where your offices are?

Would appreciate if you change it and allow me and other people living in Gib to play on 888.

Hi
I am pasting your post as is and forwarding it to managers as feedback regarding 888poker's rake.
Also, who told you " tough luck, thats our rake, deal with it"?

hey 888 rep,

sorry about language in previous posts, as you can see i am obviously upset about the new table cap. Could you tell us the reason for this? If its to improve the quality of the game for recreational players why not make the tables all fast tables like pokerstars has recently introduced. Surely its more profitable to allow players to play as many hands as possible.

Thanks

Hey 888rep, i'm glad to see you're responding in this thread.

Not everyone opposes the new table cap. I, for one, think it's a very positive change and can't understand why any player would be against it. Anyone who has ever played on PokerStars should be able to see how destructive their high table cap is. It's good to see that 888 can see past the greed of immediate profit and wants to create a more healthy long-term business.

However, there is the point that when business decisions are made, they need to be accompanied by clear, honest announcements and the support department needs to be able to say more than "that's the way it is". I have received this sort of response on a number of occasions and it is infuriating to receive such a response. The Member Support Reps need to be told that if they don't know why a business decision was made, that they should refer the question to someone who does.
