Late night lobby, nolimit tables nl100 to nl2k... Only russian players and two recreationals from UK...

It's different on any other network, but here players from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus just managed to push all other regs out.
What's happening - due to current ruling, you need to fight for the tables 4way and you do it mostly with 3 guys from these 3 countries. There might or might not be a softplay etc, but apparently most regs from West Europe were losing in this games and had to leave 888..

IT DESTROYS GAMES IF RECREATIONALS ONLY SEE FORMER SOVIETS... @888rep. You really have to limit Russians, Belorussian, Ukrainians to maximum one per table for the health of the network... The action dropped a lot this year and soon last recreationals would leave.

Welcome to 888poker’s XL Blizzard 2019 Daily Recap

Yesterday: April 4, 2019

Trio of Titles Awarded on Day 1 of the 2019 XL Blizzard

Our latest major online series kicked off on Thursday with the XL Blizzard, one of 888poker’s trio of famed XL events. The series, which will offer more than $1.7 million in guaranteed prize pools over its 11 days, wrapped up its opening day with three tournaments from the 34-event schedule in the books.

the XL Blizzard catered to 3,160 entrants and awarded $150,625 in prize money on Day 1.

XL Blizzard Opening Event Ends in a Heads-Up Deal

The 2019 edition of the XL Blizzard kicked off with Event #1: $100,000 Opening Event, a tournament that attracted 727 players (227 rebuys) and was live reported on PokerNews.com. That meant a $100K prize pool was up for grabs.

One player to compete for a piece of it was Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot, who amassed chips early but fell in Level 19 (4,000/8,000/1,000).

That is when Tonka raised to 14,000 from late position and “yHuKaJIbHbIu” called from the cutoff to see a 2♠10♠3♣ flop. Tonka checked and “yHuKaJIbHbIu” bet 22,222. Tonka woke up with an all-in check raise to 204,862 and “yHuKaJIbHbIu” called holding the A♠7♠ for a flush draw. Tonka was ahead with the J♣10♣ for top pair but the J♠ turn gave his opponent the flush. Tonka was looking to fill up on the river, but that didn’t happen as the A♥ bricked.

After “Farrugia_1” bubbled the tournament in 100th place the in-the-money finishes came quick and included Niklas “tutten7” Åstedt (84th - $250), “GramNaKartke” (51st - $340), Bryan “DePittsterje” Paris (39th - $380), “easylimp888” (14th - $900), 888poker ambassador, Ana “AnaMarquez” Marquez (9th - $1,300), “V.BlomFan60” (6th - $4,200), and “joph8ralph” (3rd - $9,900).

Once it got down to the final two players, a deal was struck that saw Switzerland’s “metis996” secure $14,991.50 and Russia’s “plomoor” $16,458.50. The duo then played it out for the title and in the final hand of the tournament “metis996” got his shorter stack all in preflop holding the A♥4♥ and was looking to hold against “plomoor’s” Q♠10♠. That proved easier said than done as the board ran out Q♥2♣5♠8♦8♥.

Romanians Battle for Event #2: $20,000 Mini Opening Event Title

In the $16.50 buy-in, $20K GTD Event #2: $20,000 Mini Opening Event 1,262 players rebought 443 times to create a $25,575 prize pool. That was paid out to the top 162 spots with players like “ZANOCI” (36th - $89.51), “sherblemon” (18th - $122.76), “Tuna_lover” (10th - $225.06), “LastDriver” (6th - $1,010.21), and “sucre0104” (3rd - $2,427.06) all making deep runs.

The title came down to a pair of Romanian players, and after 8 hours and 10 minutes “IlovePickles” defeated “JacktheCpt” in heads-up play to win the title and accompanying $4,348.20 first-place prize.

It marked the second time “JacktheCpt” finished runner-up in a XL Blizzard tournament having done so last year in Event #29: $15,000 Mini 6-Max. That was in a field of 970 entrants. Meanwhile, “IlovePickles” is a Monsoon champion and had some practice at the $16.50 price point having won the Big Fish (809 entries) back in December for $2,753.48.

“shcirrr” Claims Late Opening Event for Latvia

The $55 buy-in Event #3: $20,000 Late Opening Event boasted a $20,000 guarantee, which it cruised past by attracting 387 players who rebought 114 times. That generated a $25,050 prize pool that was distributed to the top 54 players including “BLaaZeKush” (25th - $175.35), “MAMOHT_T” (18th - $225.45), “Niiimo” (9th - $415.83), “Razielskat” (5th - $1,402.80), and “metis996” (4th - $2,004).

After “_Lord_Xenu_” bowed out in third place for $2,630.25, the title came down to Latvia’s “shcirrr” and Russia’s “Omfg72oAgain.” After 7 hours and 25 minutes, the Latvian prevailed to capture the title and $4,807.16 top prize.

You might remember that in last year’s XL Inferno, “shcirrr” finished third in Event #13: $25,000 Late Tune Up to the tune of $15,178.

Here’s What is Coming Up on Friday:

Two more events will take place on Friday, April 5, both starting at 18:00 GMT. The first is the $55 buy-in XL Blizzard Event #4: $30,000 Progressive Knock Out (PKO), and the other the $22 buy-in Event #5: $20,000 Mini PKO.

We’ll be bringing you daily recaps throughout the entirety of the XL Blizzard, so be sure to check back again tomorrow!

So my questions are:

Will the new version have blocks that show name/chip count?

Will you get rid of the online messages and the stupid giant pop up that tells us what place we finished after we close the tourni table?

Will there be actual options for table theme this time around?

Fwiw the Big Fish table theme is ugly and unnecessary and the fact that we can't change it is ridiculous.

The version 7 client themes should be permanently integrated & offered in the new version 8 whenever it's finalized - with the reattachment of chat.

As far as the complains go regarding the ugliness of Big Fish tournaments. Right now, in settings you offer a checkbox option that allows players to choose a separate theme for progressive tournaments or not.

There should be an option that lets players choose whether they want to use the special themes for things such as big fish or snap.

Hello guys.

How do we know what client version we are running. A mate of mine has decided to give 888 a try after seeing me play. However, his client and table layout look completely different. More lik ethe phone app imo. It looks worse and basic anyway.

Is it possible to download the wrong client on windows?

Thanks.

The $55 buy-in Event #4: $30,000 PKO drew 489 players who rebought 164 times. That resulted in a $32,700 prize pool that was split down the middle with $16,350 going into both the regular and bounty pools.

The $22 buy-in XL Blizzard Event #5: $20,000 Mini PKO surpassed its guarantee by drawing 911 players who rebought 295 times. The 1,206-entry field generated a $24,120 total prize pool with $12,060 going to the regular pool and the same amount to the bounty pool.

Among those to finish in the top 117 and cash were “PiktasVilkas” (57th for $34.97 + $20 in bounties), “Walkanator” (28th for $49.44 + $42.19 in bounties), “Bamasa1” (11th for $126.63 + $210.15 in bounties), “KQueenD” (5th for $607.82 + $161.88 in bounties), and “OMGKondio” (3rd for $1,169.82 + $289.22 in bounties).

As the solution is a bit complicated to post, we have established a process where members can contact us at Productfeedback@888poker.com with subject line “Take me to Poker 7” and we will send them an email that gives them directions on how to revert to Poker 7. It will also inform them that in the next version, they will be able to go to Poker 7 via settings in the new (Poker 8) client.

It is also important to let them know that in the next Poker 8 version, they will also have the ability to revert back to the Poker 7 from the settings in the software.

In the cashier, when depositing, it says you will be debited £80 for every $100 you deposit. Yet the exchange rate is £76 for $100.

I don't see anywhere to change my preferred currency like at Stars. Do you just have to suck it up?

Too small sample on my side to make any assumptions, but maybe some of you guys can confirm. I have a friend how made couple hundred leves already, and he says that when you run bad and you deposit, your scratch cards are good - like 120-180 USD in gold tokens, or something worse like deal for 50 USD for playing some games that are not your standard games. But when you cashout some money - boom! Igoodies ticket worth nothing

Anyone have similar experience?

There is an info from 888 that odd vary depending on deposits etc but you are not able to see your odds. Which basically means they can give you whatever they think is ok. Crap for regs, some money for fishes.

Welcome to 888poker’s XL Blizzard Daily Recap

Yesterday: April 6, 2019

Day 3 of the 2019 XL Blizzard

Saturday was a big day for the 888poker XL Blizzard, which was the third day of the 11-day series. That meant eight events from the 34-event schedule are in the books. With more than $1.7 million in guaranteed prize pools, the XL Blizzard will keep the snowball rolling until its conclusion next weekend.

Remember, all you have to do is play in five XL Blizzard events and you’ll receive a qualifier ticket into a freeroll at the end of the series. That freeroll will not only award a $12,600 package for the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, but also three – that’s right THREE – $2,700 packages to the 2019 WSOP Event #64: $888 Crazy 8’s tournament.

Speaking of Crazy 8 action, that’s what Saturday was all about!

Canada’s “dujoe123” Wins Crazy 8 for $5,850

The $88 buy-in Event #6: $20,000 Crazy 8 attracted 269 players who rebought 96 times. That meant a $30,000 prize pool was up for grabs and distributed among the top 40 players including “KToFTW” (25th - $201), “CoinShipper” (18th - $300), “INEEDLOVEE” (11th - $600), “Underlay1” (5th - $1,650), and “sherblemon” (3rd - $3,300).

The title came down to the UK’s “Lunatikas7” and Canada’s “dujoe123.” After 7 hours and 26 minutes, the latter came out on top to win a $5,850 first-place prize.

The Mini Crazy 8 Ends in Heads-Up Deal

The Event #7: $8.80 Mini Crazy 8 had a $10,000 guarantee which it surpassed by attracting 1,105 players who rebought 457 times. That created a $12,504 prize pool paid out to the top 144 spots. Among those to make a deep run were “Fulldonk1” (35th - $42.48), “be2become” (21st - $62.48), “PHX1001” (10th - $112.46), “Pyzdakas1” (7th - $249.92), and “Whitehair1” (4th - $937.20).

After Argentina’s “FedeJanices” (3rd - $1,249.60) bowed out in third place for $1,249.60, the final two players struck a deal that saw Romania’s “LHadar” finish as runner-up for $1,585.49 while the UK’s “flipsticks” took the title and $2,317.48 in prize money.

“DiCarpi0” Wins the Late Crazy 8

The $44 buy-in Event #8: Late Crazy 8 had 253 players rebuy 82 times to surpass the $10K GTD by creating a $13,400 prize pool. That was paid out to the top 32 players including “mika_essien” (27th - $100.50), “Melapika” (19th - $134), “FerDJin” (13th - $201), “inalies” (8th - $368.50), “RejamSam” (3rd - $1,541).

After 7 hours and 16 minutes Romania’s “DiCarpi0” and Brazil’s “tassio_ita” struck a deal in which the former won the title and $2,501.11 in prize money while the latter got second for $2,289.39.

Here’s What is Coming Up on Sunday

Sundays are the busiest day for online poker grinders, and this weekend is no exception as five XL Blizzard events will take place beginning with the $215 buy-in Event #9: $100,000 Mega Deep at 17:30 GMT.

At 18:00 GMT, both the $160 buy-in Event #10: $100,000 Tune Up and $16.50 buy-in Event #11: $50,000 Mini Tune Up will get underway, and an hour later at 19:00 GMT the $5.50 buy-in Event #12: $10,000 Micro Tune Up will kick off.

Sunday’s final event will be the $55 buy-in Event #13: $20,000 Late Tune Up at 21:00 GMT.

We’ll be brining you daily recaps throughout the entirety of the XL Blizzard, so be sure to check back again tomorrow!
