There was a lot of interest in 6c when FTP went down but it felt like it hit a wall largely because Stars was already making so much money in 5c and they would compete with each other.

I guess where I take issue with your comparison is that the sound issue may have been a pain for them to fix AND had almost no effect on their bottom line whereas these games are not reg friendly and are popular and raking a lot of money on their competitors sites. It's weird not to offer them as well and take a piece of the pie. I highly doubt many people cashed out because of an annoying sound glitch but some people will deposit or deposit more if a popular game is added so I can't see any reason not to. 6c would be smarter to add than 5c to stand out a bit. As always, if you don't like it, don't play it and if somehow no one shows any interest, it will just be a quiet lobby but the upside is significant.

You think it may have a significant upside, but as usual that vastly depends on the personal preferences. 888 isn't quite known for being innovative and fast to implement improvements, especially those that take some effort. Introducing a new game type would fall into that category. They were also one of the last "major" poker sites to jump on the speed poker and jackpot SNG bandwagon, and those undoubtedly have a much larger potential to generate money for them.

Have been having problems with the new beta version of the client, in regards to tables.

I save the colour and type of table I want in my settings but, when it's time to play and the table screen pops up, it's not what I set it as.
When I go back into the settings to change it to something else (anything else in fact) none of them work and it won't change at all. It's as though it's stuck on a default table setting and none of the table settings work.

The strange thing is that, If I go and view a tournament i'm not playing in and view one of those tables, the table pop up screen comes up as it should and with the settings I had put in place. I can also go into the settings and make changes to the table i'm viewing fine. The settings for those tables work as they should.

Also, each day for the last 3 days and when it's been time for a tournament to start that i'm registered for, i've also randomly had table pop up screens come up a 'blank/white' colour. I can see the chips and names on the screen but, that's it (the table is invisible). I close the table and logout and back in again etc...but, it doesn't help and i'm stuck with the issue.

Also, yesterday on 1 occasion, I was registered for a tournament and when it started, my table pop up screen didn't pop up at all. The tournament was running and I couldn't play. I tried everything to get the table pop up screen to come up and nothing worked.

I have uninstalled the client and re-installed it again on a couple of occasions ( from the link you provided us) but, it hasn't helped. I'm still randomly having these issues.

On another matter, I tried going back to the old client (after re-installing it from the main website) and although that client works fine, every single time I login or logout, it creates some sort of document file and adds it to my desktop. I logged in and out multiple times within a few mins yesterday to test it and my desktop was covered in multiple documents.

It's completely put me off even bothering with trying to play on 888 currently. I was about to move some more money to the site in order to play more but, there's no way i'm willing to do that currently with these issues cropping up and my feeling like I can't trust in being able to play properly or in being able to rely on the sites software working as it should.

There was a white screen ssue with Gift showers branded games but that should be resolved now, also the table theme issue you were expereincing was also just affecting those branded games.
Not sure why you are having the other issues so best to contact support@888poker.com and give them your poker user name and computer specs.

Ah, thanks for that explanation. That will explain why those issues we're only happening with a couple of my tournaments (the branded games you mentioned) and not with the others I was playing from the main tournament schedule (hence the reason I thought it was happening randomly).

Most of my play will be from the main daily tournament schedule anyway so, with there being no issues with those games, i'll stick with the BETA client version and then I won't have to bother with contacting support regarding the old client document issue I mentioned.

Glad to know, I can now go ahead and fund my account without any major concerns.

Could someone tell me what's the best way to avoid exchange rates/charges etc. considering my bank account is in EUR?

If I deposit using VISA I'm losing money on deposits and then on cashouts, either using 888's exchange rates or the banks rates. If I create a NETELLER account in USD I'll lose money when depositing/withdrawing on NETELLER (4% if I'm not mistaken).

Is there a way to avoid all those charges/high rates and if not (which I assume is the case) how do I lose the least?
