Not talking about these accounts but in general, if you'd find 4 accounts to be bots and you close the accounts and confiscate the funds, what will happen to the funds? How long (on average) before the funds get distributed back to the victims of the cheaters?

Isn't 888 the ultimate victim of bots and, if so, shouldn't they continue to keep all the money as they do now?

Seriously, though, I would support giving half the money back to the guys that discover the bots to incentivize them to continue to do the job that 888 has failed to carry out.

The problem is that 888 might not actually be keeping the money, and instead letting the bots withdraw their balance upon closing their accounts. If this is true, it creates an environment where there is almost no repercussions to botting on 888, especially with how easy it is to just create a new account it seems.

Feel free to tell me I'm wrong 888 if I am.

Team 888poker’s Joseph McKeehen Crowned Champion of 2015 World Series of Poker
Team 888poker’s Joe McKeehen has claimed the 2015 WSOP Championship title, taking home a monumental $7,683,346 along with the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.

After entering as chip leader with more than 60 million chips, the 24 year old American dominated the Final Table, maintaining the lead throughout and finally besting 2nd place winner Joshua Beckley’s pocket fours with an Ace-Ten.

This year’s November Niners also included Team 888poker members Neil Blumenfield (3rd place and $3.4million) and Thomas Cannuli (6th place - $1.4million).

To celebrate Joe’s win, 888poker has granted its members free entry to $10,000 WSOP Winner Celebration Free Tournaments, running on 12/11/15 and 13/11/15 at 20:05 GMT.

Speaking excitedly on his win, Joe said: “I’m very happy the final table went as smooth as it did. The way the cards came out it didn’t seem like I had too many tough decisions and when I did, I generally made the right ones. It was definitely easier than facing adversity and battling. It was just my day for three days in a row.”

Itai Pazner, Senior Vice President & Head of B2C at 888 Holdings added: “As one of the most experienced players at the Final Table, Joe’s tournament play has been tremendous from start to finish. Our team at 888poker knew working with him would be a great partnership and we’re proud to have sponsored him in the in the 2015 World Series of Poker.”

This was forwarded however we can not reply with any outcome due to third party policy.

What third party policy?

We aren't asking for the outcome of this specific incident. We are asking how things work in general. Is your management going to keep ignoring the question or will they provide an answer? We'll keep asking until you do and when I have time, there will be more threads about the subject if it keeps getting ignored.

888 Rep., you do realize that this looks shady as ****? You are obviously side-stepping the answer and the more you refuse to answer the question the more determined we are to get an answer. This isn't going to go away by you saying "This has been passed on." We need an answer to the question. If your people won't let you answer the question then have them come here and answer it.

Maybe a better question would be why bots are tolerated at all. It's no secret that 888 is perhaps the safest place for bots to operate.

Perhaps it's an educational issue - some players uneducated on the subject will say things like "it's not a big deal, just learn their strategy and beat them". It's very possible that the security department (assuming of course it exists) is made up of non poker players who fail to understand why bots are such a big issue.

It could be an internal issue - the security department could be under pressure to focus on other topics more directly related to the companies bottom line, credit card fraud is the one that comes to mind. An understaffed but well-intentioned security department perhaps simply doesn't have enough time to focus on bots when they're dealing with constant fraud/money laundering cases. The obvious solution in this case is a separate Game Security team which focuses solely on the games themselves.

I find it hard to believe that in 2015 a poker site is fully aware of the issue and chooses to ignore it, anyone got any other ideas?

I made an account on 888, it gives me two free dollars. I screwed around at 2nl and made a profit but all that profit was taken away once I left the tables. Can someone explain why? Thank you.

This will not go away. What is the purpose of this thread, if not to answer prioritizing ethical issues? This thread will be clustered with our bot/funds questions until answered. And instead of repeating a somewhat-automated-answer-a-la-support, get someone in here that can answer (or are we not important enough, like you constantly remind us ).

What would you guys think about a sitout protest on 888 in a few weeks?

Plan/goal would be to get a few dozen players to join at a certain time and then sitout at the max 6 tables of your standard games where you would write into the chat about 888 ignoring the bots, not disclosing whether they are allowing the bots to withdraw (if their accounts are closed) or if 888 is keeping the money. Some one-liners would be formed before the date.

At worst, we'd get the message out there to more 888 players. Hopefully 888 would come to their senses before the date and change the way they are addressing the situation at the moment.

I'd start a new thread where I'd state what has happened with this situation so far on 888 and other sites and then the plan about the future.

Who would be in?

I'm in. I will also contact a few people to make sure the reasons behind this sitout are advertised. Anyone else that has contacts should do the same.

Wonder how can I get 2nd spin @ spin game by logging in with my mobile phone. It just claims that I have to log in and claim it between 1700 GMT - 2400 GMT, but I've never been able to find / get it while logged in.

I'll start this off by saying I usually send this kind of thing straight to support, but this time I'm posting it here because of the sheer stupidity of 888 support.

I'd like to report the following accounts for very obviously colluding and playing together in sngs:

AzizjeS
Lauwboi

Just take a look at their recent playing history and you'll quickly realize they are clearly registering and playing together. These are not a couple regs playing a bunch of games where it can often occur that a bunch of games could be played together in a row. They are just a couple random single tabling fish who somehow ended up registering in the same games over a few hours over and over again, single tabling usually.

Now to why I'm posting this here. I've actually reported the "Lauwboi" account in early September for doing the same thing with a different account, "CharlyLove". As usual in these situations, I got the copy/paste email 3-4 days later telling me they'd look into it and could not reveal the outcome of the investigation. There was no doubt that those accounts were playing together at the time, and neither was banned as they have both been playing on 888 since, but were not playing together, at least not that I caught. And now that same account, "Lauwboi" is just doing the same thing again. It would have been very easy to decipher what was happening originally, and nothing was done about it. Very frustrating that 888 is unable to secure the games themselves, and then when someone tries to help them out, that gets ignored as well.
