Yep i'm not pleased. My hand was open folded in a check check pot and given to my opponent. Game froze and auto checked to him and it's not like he bet at all it shows he checked and my had was folded and the pot slide over to him. I would not check AK in a 3bet pot on a AQ5 board. Counting that pot where the $9 i put in should be given back. They owe me a total of $284.53. If i'm missing so much as $5 of that i'm cashing out and going back to Pokerstars.

As stated prev in this thread, you guys are all insane for even continuing to play. I am a brand new player to 888, my second day on the site is when the disconnects happened, I emailed support. Got a refund, read through here it's widespread and ongoing, that was when they first started happening. I haven't played a hand since and continuing to monitor this thread if there are any changes.

I got most of my money back. About $275 worth but i'm still missing the $10 that i lost when i was auto folded during the software glitch. I was in a panic at first because they were telling me that had no history of the money i lost. I can tell you this would not happen on PokerStars. How long has the software been glitchy like this? Weeks, months, years?

Phoned support. I'm not dealing with back and forth emails that take forever to get anywhere.

I really think 888 has to be aggressive with their promotions and marketing at this point and time. They are currently the #2 of online poker, which is something that nobody would have ever thought 5 years ago. Many players are starting to become fed up with the direction of pokerstars/amaya and 888 has a real chance to become a real competitor. Competition is a good thing, but at the moment many players still see 888 as a gimicky euro site like it once was. I think 888 is doing some good things, but in order to become a real competitor, something needs to be done to fix their software and all of these bugs.

They are somehow thriving in this market, even with terrible software filled with bugs (sorry 888 its true). There are so many things that can be improved, but the software has to be a priority. Not to benefit multi tabiling "pros", but to improve the overall playing experience. As seen ITT new players are becoming upset with their playing experience.

Who knows how the party merger will affect traffic and the site overall, and it will be very interesting to see what comes of that. I really would love to see a real competitor to poker stars, similar to what FT VS PS once was. Hiring a new tech team and focusing more on support would be amazing.

Would be nice to see some real promotions, unlike a series of 1k freerolls.

A MTT series would be absolutely massive this summer,/fall either during or after WCOOP.

Also=I find it disgusting that 888 charges a 14% conversion fee on deposits and withdraws when converting currency's. Partypoker just removed their 3% withdraw fee,I hope something is done about this insanely high fee. 14% is extremely unethical.

is totaly different what party had with those 3 % and what 888 poker has or any other poker room , just make deposits and cash outs with the same currency and you will not have those 14 % .simple

Very true. It still is extremely unethical and obviously set up to take from players who aren't aware of it.

But clearly the top priority atm is fixing their servers.

Guys,

I raked $2520 (due to HM) this month (pbb more cause of all disconnection problems but those hands doesnt get tracked), I'm at VIP level but the amout of cashback/reward points in my account for this month is $499.

That should be a little more right? More people have this?

Could it be that every time 888 got disconnected (and tables got closed) the software didnt saved the amount of points on those tables?

19.8%

Platinum level is 18% if I am not mistaken (I know there were changes). What is the VIP level?

I'm at level VIP, so only VIP diamond is higher. But I think i allready got it. They changed it, so VIP is only 20% and VIP diamond only 27%.

Bluh... seems they reaaaaally wants us to leave to stars.

14% is ridiculous for converting currency. I can understand a charge of some kind. Maybe as high as 5% but 14% is just plain greedy. As someone who plans on cashing out at least once a month this will hurt my bottom line unless i can figure out a way around it.

Edit: Looks like my bank does allow me to add a US chequing account. I will have to change my plan and my bank fees will probably go up but that will be nothing compared to having 14% stolen away from me every time i make a withdrawal and my funds are converted.

I was just quoting what 888mttgrindin said. Regardless of what the actual number is it's still too high. Thanks for the input.

If you wish to change the registered currency of your 888poker account to US dollars, as this is the currency that 888poker operates in, then please send a request to the support team. After this is done, then all future deposit transactions will be at your bank's exchange rate.
For withdrawals, each time you submit a withdrawal, you have the option to choose your withdrawal currency . This gives you the option to decide whether you want 888 to do the currency conversion or your banking institution.

So I can change my 888 curreny to CAD? I am getting the 14% fee charged on all my deposits as it seems there is no way to deposit with CAD$.

Simply put, as Canadian player who does not have a US bank account, what is the best method of avoiding fees. Just get a US bank account?

My account is in US dollars. However my bank is CAD and i only have Cad$. I am getting charged conversion fees by 888 when depositing with CAD$ correct? Or are the fees coming from my bank.

Thanks

This is very confusing. You are saying above that if we have a USD 888 account then we can deposit in our own local currency and our bank will do the conversion.

But in the quote below you are saying that we have to deposit in USD to avoid 888 doing the conversion.
