Last night I was on a 6-max table for 30 minutes with the 5 other seats all staying reserved, lol.

I got a question, how exactly does a money transfer turn into a bonus which can be taken away from a player without informing him of the impending expiration of said bonus?

What a load of **** garbage!

I get spot number 2 out of 9 on a wait list. Wait for an hour for that seat. And then the ****ing empty seat just sits there and it keeps saying "sorry, reserved for another member"

Biggest load of BS that ever happens on your site.

Then it has me off the wait list, while I've been sitting there for 5 minutes constantly trying to take the seat that I waited an hour for. Then it asks me if I want to join the wait list. And now I'm 6th out of 6. Who are the players getting favourited here?

Seriously, fix this ****ign problem. I've played over a million hands on your stupid site, about to hit VIP and when I wait for an hour (it's happened before where I've waited several hours and then this shhit happens).

Seriously, you guys are ***** useless for having not fixed this problem. You do all sorts of other useless stuff, but people wait hours on a wait list just for some stupid bug to boot us off.

It's the worst software problem I've ever come across on any site.

What a ***** joke!

I just don't get how a site can be this pathetically useless.

FIX THIS BEFORE YOU WASTE EVERYBODY"S TIME WITH SOMETHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You get thousands in rake from me, I tolerate your extra rake and no conventioanl rakeback, but when I sit and wait hours for a seat, and i get knocked from the top of the waitlist to the bottom while I'm sitting there trying to take the seat, I'm gonna get pissed off. How the hell are we tolerating this crap?

I put off going and doing something else because the game was so good and I had a good spot on the wait list. You useless jackasses ruined my night and you've done this to so many others before.

ONE SERIOUS PROBLEM. FIX IT.

So now that's 6th out 6 if I wait is there a chance that the 5 players in front of me just get fcked over? And i get the seat? Yeah right like that would ever happen. This is some fishy crap. Who is getting special treatment here? How did "KIROP" jump the line like that? And how come when there is a wait list, we can't see who's on it or in what order?

This looks bad. It looks like players are being favoured over others to get seats. Playing day in and day out on your site for years apparently doesn't even help you to become one of the chosen ones. Are you guys legit? WTF?

This has happened on more than one ocassion, it happened in a 600nl game where again the game involved one guy spewing off buyin after buyin...

It is absolutely ridiculous the fact someone has been waiting on the list for 45min and finally receives a seat but is unable to sit in when the spot is still there spewing off...

pathetic software imo...

has this happened to anyone else?

Not 100% sure, I just returned to 888-network and haven't cashed out yet.
However, 1-2 years back I played thru LW and at some point they (or Cassava) added a drop-down-menu in their cashier. In that menu u can choose a preferred cashout-currency and if I remember correctly I was able to withdraw £ to my £-bank-account - LW has account balance in £ that's basically why I opened a £-bank-account.
Anyhoo, now that I returned to 888 via LA, my account balance is in $, but my default-deposit-currency was for some reason €. I got it changed to $ thru support and succesfully deposited in $ from my $-MB. I hope I'll be able to withdraw in $ as well.

Hey wondering if you or anyone can help me. I was just about to sign up to either 888 or wsop. I'm from the Uk and obviously don't want to pay a ridiculous 6.5% fee to withdraw. Do I understand it then that there isn't an option to choose £ as my preferred cashout currency?

Also as a more generalised question, when I make a withdrawal from a site (that uses dollars) to my UK bank account who does the currency conversion? Who does the currency conversion when you deposit from a UK bank onto a US dollar based site? I assumed it was the bank doing all the conversions. I thought the point of neteller/moneybookers etc was you had an account in 'your' (i.e £ for me) currency and used them as a middleman to withdraw/deposit because they do the currency conversions at a much more competitive rate than banks do. Have I misunderstood how it works?

Big thanks to who ever can enlighten me on this!

Again, I completely agree, it's a little annoying.
I'm not sure about conversion %'s being taken off as that's more of an operations department, and they keep me on a very need-to-know when it comes to operations.

However, if this is happening, it's prudent to contact support and have them change your default currency, and you shouldn't have any issues.

@ 888 Rep

Did some further testing with the post JP problem and this time I did not get the 50 cents back one time...so there is some "stealing" going on at these tables. I joined the table while the hand in progress just finished and by the time I was able to disable the "post JP" option and sit out the 50 cents have already been collected. But unless previous times I did not get the 50 cents back after the hand was over. So this is in fact a serious problem and should be your number one priority...as should be a unverisal "opt out of/disable "post JP" " options within the settings and also getting rid of the 5 seconds delay asking players to post the 50 cents. 888 does realize that this is kinda deadtime and they dont earn any rake during that time and that this adds up for sure.
I'm hoping to have this addressed this week.

I can't see why that should be the case. They will likely default set your currency to your country's currency, but I've been told it can be changed through support.

Nope. Point conversion rate stays the same. I believe there is a 3 month expiration on them in the T&C's if you stop playing.

Sure u can choose £ as a cashout-currency. One can choose between £, $, €, SEK and DKK.
But I really don't know why anyone would want to choose to use any other cashout-currency than what their account balance is in. I mean if u play on 888 and you account currency is $ -> withdraw as $ and 888 won't rob you a cent. It's ur bank who does the currency conversion to whatever currency your bank-account is based.
If ur account balance is in $ and you choose to cashout in £ it will be 888 that converts ur $ into £ and, how to put it delicately, they don't have the most competitive exchange rates.

"Generally, credit card or debit card cashouts by members in the UK, Canada, Denmark, Sweden or other EU countries that use the Euro, will be converted into and refunded to the member's card in the same currency used for deposit. Cashouts via bank draft/wire transfer by members in Canada, the UK, Sweden, Denmark and other EU countries that use Euro (except Cyprus and Malta), will be converted into local currency."

I haven't heard Pacific/888poker agreeing to send wire transfer cashouts in USD to a country using EUR as their local currency since around year 2006.

Hmm, I'm at least 90% sure that during last 5 years I've cashed out via wire transfer as both $ and £ despite the fact that I live in Finland.
I actually just checked out the transaction history of my £-bank-account and I have multiple succesful transactions from Cassava there, processed as £.
For some reason I can't seem to be able to find all the records of my $-bank-account. Looks like my bank has them stored in my online bank for only past 15 months or so i.e can't check out if my $-cashouts were actually processed as $.

Can I check I understand this correctly? I can contact support and have my account currency changed from $ over to £? Then I can also change the cashout currency to £ and that way I avoid getting raped on exchange rates (no 6.5% either) and therefore avoid the faff of having to use neteller/mb?

If I do this (big chance I've missunderstood!) can I check there arent any sneaky conversion fees (i.e 6.5%) each time I join or leave a table and have my money converted from $ to £ or vice versa?

cheers.

I'm on WSOP in the UK. To keep things simple, don't change anything. Do it all in dollars. The tables are played with dollars and cents, and your tracker (e.g. HEM) will keep stats in dollars, so it's a lot easier to know how many buy-ins you have in your roll. Decide how much you want to deposit in pounds and then do the conversion yourself. For example, if you want to deposit £50, choose $77.55 as your deposit amount. Your bank won't charge you and 888/WSOP won't take a cut. $77.55 (plus dep bonus) will appear as your account balance. Let's say you want to cash out £50 once your balance is $200. When you make the cashout, just ask for $77.55. Again, you won't be charged at either end.

I'm not completely sure, but I don't think one can change the currency of their 888-poker-account per se, but rather the currency in which their deposits will be handled.

FWIW, in my opinion the most sensible thing to do as a professional poker player playing games based on USD is to keep their bankroll in USD. Like this:

USD-bank-account
USD-Moneybookers-account (not necessary obv)
USD-poker-account

That way the only currency exchanges one has to face are the transactions between your USD-bank-account and your local-currency-bank-account.

I'm asking again to add 6 max Omaha 8 tables. Preferably FLO8, and a limit between 5/10 and 25/50 cents. I'm sure a skilled programmer could do it in 10 minutes, and it wouldn't cost any extra to the site. I want more players to join, because it's impossible to beat the rake heads up. I played a guy for like 15 minutes, and we payed $4-5 rake.
Also, is it possible somehow to avoid hit and run at these tables? Every time I sit down, players join with their full $23.49 bankroll, win 2 dollars and run. It tilts the hell out of me. Not the amount of money, but the fact that I don't even have a chance to win it back, coz I'm sitting alone at the table.

This seem's a little unfair considering 888 had nothing to do with the money being put on the site or being transfered into my account

When you transfer funds in dollars to your local-currency-bank-account doesnt your local bank convert the money at a really rubbish exchange rate? I know mine does

Think my plan is to have a MB account in £. Then when I withdraw winnings (in dollars from 888) to my MB account its MB doing the currency conversion and not the bank...

(I'll also open a neteller dollar account to get my money on to 888)
