Hey guys,
Just thought it was time I wrote something about the person who brought my poker game to another level.
I wrote the following email to Grayson on August 13th 2017:
"Hello,
I saw your thread on 2+2 and If you still take on students, i would be interested to have a couple of hours of coaching to start with...
I am from Belgium and I am a recreational mtt player who has been playing for more than 10 years on and off.
Although I managed to cash a little (biggest: 15k), 2011 was my most 'cashable' year, i do believe I am still a fish. I clearly master some concepts and i manage to often get deep in mtt's, I am a bit of a gambler and I attribute my moderate 'success' (i am still a losing player though) to good runs.
I mainly enjoy MTTs but I have played many SNGs as well.
I never really been involved in forums or poker communities but I am close to some professionals /very good players who have given me advise in the past. I have also read the classics - super system, harrington, Gus hanssen etc.
My goal is not to become a professional and is not to have bankroll lessons. I don't use software and i refuse to do so as it takes away my pleasure for the game.
I am looking for someone to analyse my hands and my play in later stages of tournaments and reduce my leaks for the game.
My screen name: Phanteidos1
I play exclusively on Pokerstars.
Please let me know if you'd be interested in trying me out
Am flexible with hours also. I mainly play on Sunday but now i have more time lately so been playing more.
Thank you,"
Grayson answered directly and since then I have taken lessons with him and 2018 has been my best online poker year so far.

Grayson understood me directly and knew exactly how to approach the leaks in my game. He managed to fine tune my game instead of changing it completely.
I had never tried learning poker this way and I must say it is the best choice I made in my poker career.
Firstly, Grayson is for me a poker genius, he will question every move you make but he will also question himself all the time and learn from his students because he loves to learn and exchange and his humility allows him to be open minded to any poker decision.
I cannot compare Grayson to other coaches (cause he is the only coach I ever had) but for me, his methods are simple yet super useful...
Grayson was the missing ingredient for me to get better.
I would recommend this amazing person to anyone willing to discuss and learn poker hands with a veteran poker genius who is also an amazing person
Cheers,
Phanteidos1
