I just completed a 10-hour package with QY - here are some of my thoughts (for some background, play 500NL on Ignition + GGPoker, come from a pure MDA exploitative background from a CFP stable):

- QY breaks down all the fundamental concepts starting from first principles. I initially thought that a lot of these concepts would be review but every session I had with QY was eye-opening and changed the way I looked at the game. Going through the game brought a lot of the leaks/misconceptions to light since you are forced to hold them against the concepts we developed.

- QY has a novel approach to packaging theory concepts that I don't think I've seen anywhere before. The process of developing them together also helped make them feel very natural/intuitive.

- We developed a process for developing gameplans and drilling that greatly improved my study approach. I now have a clear approach to studying all the different spots/textures in the game tree while organizing the information in a way that isn't overwhelming.

- Going through BB defense and 3BP OOP PFR was very valuable since we learned a lot of concepts which translate over to other spots very well. It also really helped me think about the way we develop exploits that span multiple streets.

Aside from the content, the Q&A style of our lessons really resonated with me. QY is very friendly and receptive to all of my questions (even if some of them felt silly to ask). It's hard to overstate the value of explaining and questions concepts with someone who understands theory at such a deep level. The overall coaching environment made me feel very comfortable doing this.

I can't recommend working with QY enough - one of the best investments I have made in my poker career!

10 hours with QY was enough to offer me a fresh approach on the various concepts that someone needs to understand how gto works. Even for someone like me who doesn't speak English fluently the sessions were crystal clear and easy to digest. QYs coaching immediately helped to fix some leaks on my game but secondly ,and most important, it showed me the way to evolve further. Hiring a coach is probably one of the most +EV investments a poker player can make and QY meets all the expectations.

I just completed 10 hours with QY and I genuinely feel smarter and more prepared than I did before these sessions. Poker theory was very intimidating to me at first so I always avoided it. However, he makes sure to only focus on what matters and explains it in a way they can be understood by players of all levels. I guarantee there are concepts you think you know, but you may not have the clearest understanding of. That is where the value comes in from these sessions. I've been playing 10+ years without any real sound strategy behind my decisions. Now I have a framework for the game that I can literally use forever in any format.

I recently had the pleasure of taking poker lessons with QY, and I wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is considering improving their game. Originally, we signed up for 10 classes, but we enjoyed his teaching style so much that we ended up buying 15!

I’m an NL1k player online, so my understanding of poker was already somewhat high when I started the coaching. Even so, QY’s deep theoretical knowledge of the game truly sets him apart. He’s not just someone who knows poker; he understands every nuance and can articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively. No matter how many questions we had—and trust me, there were a lot—he always had a thoughtful answer. There is so much noise in poker education nowadays, a lot of data points and if one doesn't know what to focus on, it is easy to get lost. QY cuts through the bullshit, and points out what is important and what isn't. He also has an excellent ability to break down complex ideas into easily understandable concepts, in other words: he is an excellent teacher.

I recently took 10+5 extra lessons with QY. It was way over my expectations even though I saw his YT channel before it, where he posts useful videos. I highly recommend him, the lessons are as dynamic as the videos. I play HS but I am/was struggling with theoretical knowledge, but now I feel way more confident in this topic.
