I've been playing 2NLfor 2 years and can beat it for sure, tilt has crumbled me multiple times, and I am really hoping to find a group or some support to solidify my knowledge, as I've never spoken to or run through any hands with anyone before.

Due to the slow but consistent win and 2NL, when I have had losing days I have jumped up stakes, and there have been some days where I couldn't stop playing, and punted it all off at 10/50NL, stupid I know. Tilt is my biggest leak, some random days after playing every day I have lost a lot of buy-ins all due to ego, not adjusting to different times of the day plus weekends and weekdays, zoom and 9max, and fighting for pots even when it is clear I'm done. I deviate from what's working to try and crush more often spazzing out when it doesn't work.

It would be great to team up, I once heard the advice always play like someone is watching, and I feel like finding a study team or buddy might help me to stick with this.

Cheers

I used to have the same problem mate, still but has been improved a bit cauze thats one of the reason that I cant move up in stakes. I think having a pre session protocol, session protocol and post session protocol will help you deal with this. Another important thing to consider is doing exercises and meditation.

What I do is I usually go to the gym before each session it helps a lot then I eat something to dont starve during the session. I do my pre session that is about: goals for the session, warm up, meditation, and attend physical needs ( all of this is from elliot A game masterclas, pretty good material). Then for my session I usually set up the lenght for my session (3h), rest and stop losses ( 4BI in my case) cauze I realized that after that I start splashing around. Meditation helps a lot during my session cauze I am more aware of my feelings ( I recommend you headspace.com as a guide to start doing it). After my session I analyze how well I played, what went wrong, did I accomplish my goals ( I need to work on my post session protocol cauze I dont usually do it lol ). I have been working on this part of my game lately since a month and half, I think It helped me to dont have those pretty rough sessions very often.
