The situation after writing here my truly honest and supported by facts review of my experience of my coaching with Kanaxis And the unfair reaction after that from almost everyone who posted on the topic, makes me not trust any third party to play the role of arbiter, unless he is an official representative of 2 + 2.

Don't think official representatives of 2+2 even exist besides the owners, I suspect I'm probably as close as you're going to get so as I have my real life identity attached to my 2+2 and have been involved here for over a decade so I'll also offer to arbitrate as well. I do not know either Kanaxis or SammyR.

What an absolute trainwreck of a thread. I don't know either of the parties involved, but calling someone a scammer and publicly posting his personal info over a coaching dispute is absolutely unacceptable behavior. Furthermore, this situation doesn't seem to resemble a scam in the slightest. The student essentially wanted a "cheat sheet" of how to win at poker and was extremely stubborn, not allowing the coach to teach using his usual style. It would be like me hiring a violin teacher to teach me to play all 24 Paganini caprices at a professional level, then refusing to progressively learn any of the required theory / techniques while instead demanding the teacher just give me "golden rules". What the student was asking for was simply impossible. The fact the student refused an interactive learning environment in the form of live sessions and instead basically told Kanaxis "just give me all the answers in video/text format" shows the coaching was doomed to fail before it even started.

While it's easy to say Kanaxis should have just refused to coach this student to begin with, it wasn't immediately clear just how delusional and stubborn the student was until later. It's an easy mistake to make, assuming the best in people and hoping - despite a poor first impression - that the student would see reason and ultimately agree to gradually learn poker the correct way rather than obstinately banging his head against the wall for a magic quick-fix.

This is has become an absolute comical joke.

The student is now in here screaming and insulting like a 5 year old child everyone who has no affiliation with Kanaxis, but has instead read all the information posted and made an opinion that does not agree with his.

This person is acting like a antivaxxer/antimasker who's angry that they aren't getting their own way and people disagree with them.

Even if Kanaxis wasn't wrong the way the student has handled this makes it impossible to take him seriously.

I had a session today with Kanaxis, just to find general leaks and weakpoints. He looked through my database beforehand and went over some of my leaks and hands showcasing them, and gave some instruction on these spots. Our meeting was very efficient and to the point, I have no complaints at all, it was a good session.

About his style, he's very mindful of theory and playing correctly in that way and he seems to keep exploits to a minimum. It also seems he doesn't have a very simplified game, instead opting for a more complex one. Like in one spot bvb he said he used a 3 sizing turn cbet strategy. His knowledge of theoretically correct play seems very strong

He’s incredibly sharp and knowledgeable theoretically and fun to talk to as well. It’s been a mostly great and enjoyable experience so far, would recommend.

You are literally robbing people blind. $130/hr? Do you really think you are that good to charge $130 an hour? And then go on to use about 5 tools the entire session. So are we learning about poker or how to use tools?

Whats your rate champ? Go open up your own thread, instead of bashing others and then give us a reasonable charge. On the same topic, Ive been getting lessons from kanaxis for a while, and quite enjoy his coaching methods. Really into theory, especially in todays environment.

Had a session with Kanaxis last week. He went through and found a bunch of specific leaks, gave me some examples of mistakes as well as how to adjust them. He was very clear and concise. Honestly, it was a little overwhelming all the hands we went through and I didn't have many questions because of it. But I've went back and rewatched chunks of the session and after having time to kinda digest things, I'm finding way more information. I never thought that rewatching the same information I got last week would be so helpful, but def recommend it to anyone. I'll also message Kanaxis sporadically when I have questions and he's been great about answering things even outside coaching times. Overall great experience tbh

just noting my rates are very competitive, you wont even find NL 200 coaches willing to coach for less than this, and I have played over 500k hands at 500NL on all tracked sites.
also to clarify I am a mass tabler, even though my hours played are low due to other commitments IRL and coaching, my hourly on the tables is decent post RB.
