No, you got those figures wrong. It´s a lot less.

I don't see many players questioning whether they can understand what is being explained. If they have the right profile. If they can understand their current psychological state and how well they know themselves. What they want in the short/medium/long term. Whether they know how to analyze the relationship between the price they pay and the value they receive (the only thing that matters).

I could go on, I think the way we ask questions reveals a lot. For many, the good courses that exist will serve to teach them something, but they won't radically transform them into excellent players. There is a set of personal profiles and contexts that are essential to be successful. This is much more than learning ranges and strategies.

Recognizing that we need to learn and that learning should be continuous is a good first step. Months and years of study and learning about everything (especially the areas in which many don't work) and not just a few things will be a solid second step

If I remember correctly Saulo was marketing his course for around 2500. Jayser apparently lowered the price for his course to 7000.

Make an early giveaway, or give a big discount, let's say 90%+ of the value of your course, for the first 10 or so students as long as they agree to provide a before and after graph to you, both with big samples. If 5 of them can show big improvements, then you have the best possible advertising tool:

1) The things you're teaching work.
2) A decent # of players improved after getting your course, so there is a decent chance you know how to teach poker and explain concepts well enough to other people.

This would be good if it happened although not a perfect metric. Another way could be some independent high level player watching new courses and rating them

This is very true. When I first got into poker the first videos I found were Jonathan Little’s and thought he was a great poker teacher. Only later realised everything he teaches is extremely basic or wrong.

You can do an experiment and go through all the coaching listings and I guarantee there will be almost zero negative reviews from the most active coaches. The problem with using student reviews is by definition the student will know less than the teacher, so the student can't accurately assess how good the coach is. What's somewhat counterintuitive in poker is you actually need someone BETTER than the coach to assess how good the coach is.

The best metric you can get is by looking at before/after graphs but even that has a bunch of flaws in it due to variance.

So I'm considering buying Carrot Poker School, but before spending another 1k, I'd love to hear what you guys think about this course first. Or maybe there is something even better on the market?
Can you provide an update? Thoughts on the course if you ended up buying it

Yes, it is amazing. Beware of poker cons trying to sell you newest exploit or mda magic pill. Poker is solved. Equilibrium is highest ev strategy. Good theory and gto is all you need to crush modern games

Kind of funny that you say don't buy exploits when you also said that Uris exploit course is the best. You must be mates with Carrot.
